"Falling, that's what I'm doing right now. I wish I wasn't falling from so f--king high up, though. You know, I'd like to go out in style. Dying as I lived, or something poetic like that. Though I never lived as a poetic man. Most people wouldn't be able to joke about this. But I'll be falling for a while. Falling to the core of a planet takes some time. I'll have to entertain myself somehow. Not proud to admit it took me five minutes to stop screaming, but now this is just boring. Like waiting in a really windy office to die. I do have this notebook on me. Maybe I'll finally write that novel about my life. 50 Degrees of Solisis. I'll have to tear out the pages I already scribbled bad drawings into. A long time ago. No, that's not right. When I was a young boy. Still no. It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. F--k. My name is Solisis Dicax, and this is how I die."

On a shattered planet, Solisis Dicax recounts his life as he falls to his death. He was one of the Arxian Guards' laziest yet most famous soldiers. Unfortunately for him, on his quest to clear the military of its corruption, he accidentally stumbled into an ancient plot to reset the world at the cost of his life.

well....how do I put this....

first impression was, "This is pretty funny!" Second impression, "this is hard to follow..." Third and final impression when I finished the book, "I need to know what happens to Solisis!"

overall compelling story, humorous writing and relationship building, and a great production by the reader. It's definitely a must read...or...listen to....actually both! Because the narrator did a great job and the writer did a great job!
