Another Great Book in the Arcane Casebook Series

This book, like all the others in this series, is the perfect blend of Detective Noir and Urban Fiction. This book sees Alex temporarily unable to work magic himself, depending on the magic of his friends and Sorsha to help him solve three cases. It's fast paced and fun, with lots of witty dialog and fun noir tropes. it's also one of the first times that s book has made me crave a hot dog.

I absolutely love this series and this book proves that the main character can survive without using magic which is character development at its finest! I seriously cannot wait until the next one what a cliffhanger

Another Home Run!

Dan Willis has done it again! Another great installment in the Arcane Casebook series! I can't wait to find out what happens next!

This is my favorite running series

Dan Willis really has some interesting characters and premises in this series. Magic and detectives is a very used conception in fiction/ fantasy, but this series really keeps your interest. Always after finishing I can't wait until Dan's next installment comes out.

Just keeps getting better

This series has so many directions it can go in. the early 1930's time period makes it ripe for all intrigue and the weaving of several mysterious together in one book keeps us from getting bored. Willis keeps Alex so busy we hardly have a chance to figure one case out before the next item pops up and needs attention. Sad I finished it in 2 days of long distance driving.

Love the book

Alex Knox knows how to bring the stories to life. Dan Willis is an excellent writer and I’m sad that I have to wait for another book in this series.

Another good book in this series a great listen

Entertaining and engaging! A nice story it will interesting to see what the author intends from here. The plot lines get intricate and more convoluted.It would be nice to take a break and just have some simple plots. But it looks like we're going to go in a whole new direction.

Alex without Magic

Now he gone and done it, poisoned himself and nearly died! Iggy goes ro extremes to keep Alex alive, and the Ice Soccerress is so terribly mad at Alex. Narrator does his usual good job with this Audible book.
