Publisher's summary

It's been exactly two years since Katie and her aunt and uncle opened the Honeybee Bakery, where they serve delicious - and bespelled - treats to the good people of Savannah. After a dinner celebrating the bakery's anniversary, they all take a stroll along the waterfront and meet Aunt Lucy's friend Orla, a colorful character who has been telling the fortunes of locals and tourists alike for years.

The next day, Orla meets with what seems like a terrible accident, but Katie's witchy intuition tells her it was something more sinister. Together with her trustworthy coven and her firefighter boyfriend, she'll race to find out what happened to the unfortunate fortune-teller before the piping hot trail goes cold....

Another good story

Katie is growing more comfortable with who and what she is, learning to channel her energy and power, which is nice. Although her life seems a tad boring to her, it is never boring to us. Declan, what a sweetie, we all need a Declan in our lives. Detective Quinn...surprise!
If you’ve enjoyed Katie’s previous adventures, trials and tribulations, you will certainly enjoy this one.
For those of you that enjoy sizzling sex, action and high adventure, this is not for you. This is slow, low key adventure and wholesome fun.

Looking forward to more Caity Lightfoot/McCarthy

The Bailey Cates books are are wonderfully written with details that bring it life. Love the narrator Amy Rubinate with her southern accents to her Haitian flare is a joy to listen to. Look forward to many more of Bailey Cates books in the Caity Lightfoot series. Sidenote it would be nice to see some of her recipes in the books

Another good one

Another good story. I so enjoy the "feel good" of these stories. The murder may be the plot but the connections the characters have are what keeps me wanting more.

Fun and delicious easy listening

Great listen for a cozy mystery. Combination of fun characters, good food, mystery and intrigue all rounding out to be an easy, light-hearted listen. Easy to become interested in the characters as well as the outcomes.

Good narrator, with the exception of the children voices. Luckily, there are very few children voice lines, so that isn't a huge deal. Otherwise, excellent listen with good tone and mannerism.
