Publisher's Summary

The long-awaited sequel to the international best seller PS, I Love You

The PS, I Love You Club. These are the six words written on a card handed to Holly Kennedy. They’re words that are engraved on her heart - because PS, I Love You is how her husband, Gerry, signed his last letters to her, letters that mark a year she will never forget.

Now, the mysterious club wants something from her. And if Holly can find the courage meet them, she’ll learn what it really means to live life to the full. Because every love story has one last thing to say....

Avoid

There are so many things wrong with this story. If you are a fan of 'PS I love you' then you should avoid listening to this. It seems like completely different characters, just with the same names and a loose link to the first book.

There are a number of discrepancies from the first book, two that spring to mind - in the first book Richard worked in a lab, however in this book he was an accountant. In the first book, it's noted that Denise has known Holly since she was 20. In this book, she went to school with her.

The narrator is AWFUL. She reads so fast, sounds like she is chronically depressed and also so unnecessarily intense throughout. It. Is. Awful. The editing leaves a lot to be desired, there is even a section where the narrator talks to someone off script (chapter 30). It's bizarre.

As a stand alone story it would be fine. But as a sequel to PS I love you, it's just severely lacking. Wouldn't recommend.

Needs a pause....

The book was wonderful - however, the jump from the last sentence into the next chapter is HARSH! You don’t have time to take it in (normally a hard hitting/emotional part) before it seems like she’s yelling the next chapter. The narration is great, I think it’s just the way the chapters have been out together after recording

Chapter separation

There is a lack of separation between chapters.and it really impacts the story, a second more is needed as the powerful endings of each chapter is lost as is moves to the ‘chapter 2, 3 etc’ announcement.

lovely story

I loved the story, such a lovely follow up to ps I love you. The only negative I found was the way the audiobook rushed into every chapter. There was no pause between the end of a chapter and the announcement of the next one which somewhat ruined the story for me. I felt that this did me time to appreciate what I had just heard as 'chapter 20' etc was abruptly announced. it may seem petty but it made the book seem rushed when actually it was a great story.

what would you do for the ones you love?

Amy Huberman is a wonderful narrator but I would love a lengthier pause between the chapters.

too heavy

I didn't like this. it was heavy the whole way through. the narrator was over emotional I found, and there was no relief from the heaviness. just depressing.

Beautifully difficult

I was hooked on this book immediately. Holly's story is an addictive one. I did find it difficult after losing a family member to cancer recently, but found it equally as beautiful as well. highly recommended
