Suspense and surprise villain.

lLoved how these strong characters lived with a difficult unresolved past and were forced to deal with it. great read.

very interesting

starts off slow, but picks up. it finally became clear what was going on and who the killer is.

The characters were believable.

I really enjoyed all of the book. There was nothing to dislike about it. The characters were great and I liked the narrator.

great whodunnit story

fun to listen to.
I don't typically give all my attention to these books cuz I'm usually doing stuff while listening. but several times I backed up the narrator so I wouldn't miss some key element to figure out who dunnit.
narrator did a great job. at first I didn't care for her obvious vigilance keeping each word clear. but then I came to really appreciate it. and thank God for a real human instead of virtual. that would have wrecked a good book .

A mystery to the end

Most of the time I can figure out who the killer is by the middle of a book. Not this one. I had to finish this, had to know what was happening. Very worth the cost.
