Publisher's Summary

My last single friend just got married, leaving me roommate-less. When Rory shows up at my door, I'm more than a little surprised to find out that a guy has answered my ad. Living with a man wasn't exactly what I had in mind - especially one as handsome as Rory. He's charming, confident, and...completely off-limits. He's a total player. And I don't want to end up getting played.

But when all the other applicants don't seem to be a good fit, I can't help but let my mind wander back to him. What's the worst that could happen if I let him move in? It's not like I'm going to fall in love with him....

Boring

Annoying characters, petty conflicts that seemed soooo adolescent. Such a Waste of a credit. The narrator was good though.

A bit different and cute

I liked how cutesy the story was. It was kind of predictable. The never resolved the Connor crush situation and what is happening with that. I found their relationship games weird until I thought they were cute. I felt the behavior of Rory.at the wedding was weird.

Bought for the story, stayed for the narration

This is a mixed review. I loved the narration. The narrator gave the characters personality. And I liked all the characters except the female lead. it was like an I Love Lucy episode. she was too over the top ridiculous. Sex scenes were awesome. I took a 2 week break about 2 hours from the end, but came back to finish.

Pleasant Surprise

This book was laugh out loud funny. The lengths that Keira went to to get her man... Well let’s just say hilarious! The story line was sexy mixed with a little kink. It was a nice distraction from Covid-19 and all of the political chaos!

Nope.....

DNF 14%
I have a 10 chapter rule...if I’m not sucked in by then I throw in the towel! I knew by chapter 5 that this book wasn’t going to be for me. Keira was to pathetic for my taste. I CAN NOT stay a women that throws themselves or pines over a man! Nope....can’t do it....moving on...

This was my first book by this author and I wasn’t impressed. I actually was excited to read this book, the cover and the blurb pulled me in. I seriously misread the meaning in the title....I thought the FMC and the MMC we’re both going to play each other... I mean geez... “playing a player” wow was I seriously wrong! 🤷🏼‍♀️
Anyhow maybe I’ll give the author another go and try one of her other books.

Audiobook: Lynn Barrington was fabulous as always! She has so much emotions in her voice. 💞

Such a Fun Read

This book was a lot of fun. Keira had such a great personality and reminded me a lot of Jess from “New Girl”. She was also very stubborn which made me want to punch her at times.

Rory was broken until Keira won his heart. The side characters were hilarious. I loved all the days they made up just so they can hang out together.

Lynn was perfect!
