hot and steamy

overall the book was pretty great. narrator did a good job wasn't the best wasn't the worst but overall did pretty well the only thing I did not like about the story which was she didn't like rich people and I felt like she was more whining and complaining or maybe both and it was just annoying. spoiler... when she finally finds out that he's rich she is in denial at least to me however the book is basically saying it has to do with a lie. I would still get another book by this author.

Loving the Men in this Series!

After book one in this series which I didn't love, I had not planned to continue but a friend told me that books 2 & 3 were better so I decided to give it another shot. I did like this book better and am hoping 3 is even better. I loved Ambrose, he was a good guy with good intentions and a guarded heart. I loved that even though he didn't want anything serious, once he realized his feelings he went for it instead of running (at least not for long) . Everly was ehh to me, I was getting tired of her pretending to be bratty and so proud of it. The sex was REALLY hot in this book. The narration was pretty good too.

Would you listen to Playing Hard to Master again? Why?

Probably not but I don't regret listening to it the first time. I feel like BDSM books should come with possible trigger warnings. Because I have PTSD but I still enjoy BDSM romance novels. But I feel like books should have a list of certain topics it contains. I know it seems silly. But I can't listen to or read books if the character has a certain name. But that one is normally easy to check for before I get the book. I love BDSM and I did just fine with the first two books in the series. It was the fact that this time the character looked younger than her age and was a virgin, unlike the other women in the books prior to this one. It wasn't a bad book by any means. I just cannot safely re-listen to it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Aside from the needed trigger warning. I did love the main characters. There was depth and complexity and they addressed their conflicting ideas of what they should and shouldn't do.

What about Samantha Cook’s performance did you like?

Her voice was very pleasant to listen to and did not distract me from the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Normally yes, but do to the trigger issues I had to pause the book and walk away from it for a while before being able to remind my self it was only a book and being able to continue.

Any additional comments?

I feel it is no ones fault that this book ended up having triggers for me. I have no intention of leaving the BDSM or erotic book section because of it. I love a wide arrange of books from Young Adult to non fiction to romance/erotic to meditation and language books. However I don't know if it would be possible but it would be nice if there were potential trigger lists for erotic books. I know that makes me sound picky... But sometimes for romance/erotic books it would be nice to know if I should expect certain forms of intercourse and such. Just saying.

First time reading

This may sound funny or weird but the only reason why I listened to this book is because of the Chapters game🤦🏾‍♀️I like the story even though I picked the outcome it made me curious about finding out if it was a real book. I found the book on Audible all I can say is LOVED IT❤️ I'm not sexually into the BDSM scene but the story was interesting love Ambrose & how caring he was 1 min then soo dominating the next Everely did get on my nerves with being a brat but loved that she submitted to him also I didn't like her having such an attitude towards rich ppl yes some are asses but some aren't & she took her anger & frustration out on Ambrose. The sex was HOT 🔥 & found myself smiling while listening & imaging if I could be into something like this but nah too shy but it is a good read/listen I was finished in 3 days lol.

am really enjoying this series . And patiently waiting and looking forward to Constantine"s story.

Another great read from Sparrow Beckett. I really enjoyed getting to know Ambrose and Everly in book 2 of her master's series. Saying thier romance is HOT is putting it lightly. looking forward to reading Constantine 's story next. 😍
