Kurt Teague is a prisoner - a galactic criminal wanted for multiple murders. He is also Feral, a proud and savage people known for their indomitable wills to survive and their fiercely possessive natures. His tortured past has turned him into a ruthless killer - an unthinkable fate to the innocent, sheltered Krisa.

It Was Out Of This World!

Evangeline is a very talented author! Her imagination, creativity, and her ability to write a captivating plot and weave in some of the most sensual erotic sex scenes is amazing! I have enjoyed several series she has brought to audio, and Planet X is among my favorites by her.

I loved another Audible member's reference to Pitch Black. This story starts off similar, but once they crash on Planet X this is where Evangeline runs wild with her imagination. Krisa was sold by her parents to an academy who specializes in bride contracts. She's known since she was 13 her contract has been sold, and the school has been molding her to be the proper wife for her future husband. When she becomes of age, she boards the spaceship that will take her to her new home. While aboard the spaceship, she is drawn to the dangerous captive who was bound, blindfolded, and held in the cargo hold. When their ship crashes on Planet X the dangerous captive, Teague, saves her from an attempted attack, and promises to keep her safe until a rescue party comes looking for them. In the meantime, he will have to protect her from telepathic monsters, and navigate a clan of cannibals who have a custom of displaying sexual acts as both entertainment, and to show how well they please their partners. Krisa feels safe in Teague's arms, but the more he teaches her to listen and feel with her body, and not with her mind, the more dangerous he becomes to her virtue and her heart.

Planet X is an erotic sci-if romance with lots of steamy, descriptive, hot sexual scenes. This is not an instant love story, and Evangeline does a great job developing the chemistry and sexual tension between the characters. You will definitely feel the sexual tension between these characters!

William Martin's performance was outstanding! He really delivered on both the female and male characters, as well as all the sensual scenes. I really hope we see more audios narrated by him!

This was an awesome story! Well worth the time and credit! Looking forward to more audios by Evangeline!

Wow!

Really enjoyed this story. I think this is one of this authors best work so far. I was drawn in by the plot but the narration kept it alive. Excellent narration. Loved his voice!

It felt a little Pitch Black to me but I loved that movie. So can't complain. Great job!

The narrator really made this book better for me

What did you like best about this story?

The narrator, especially for the male lead, really made this a much better experience than it might otherwise have been. Mostly because his voice was so low, almost a growl, made it a pretty interesting listen. The voice he used for the heroine wasn't great, more male-neutral, about as low or feminine as he could make it.

The author definitely must have liked Pitch Black too, because the start of the book definitely felt in line with the overall tone of that movie -- I enjoyed it though. The start was a little stronger than the finish, the author left a few things open-ended which I guess means will never get closure in another book, but overall an interesting read. I had never read/listened to this author before.

The heroine was a little naive, and sometimes did irritating things, but it was actually fairly in line with how the author had written her character (very sheltered).

What about William Martin’s performance did you like?

As I mentioned, his voice for the hero was hyper-masculine, so it was actually in line with how the character was written. I know some complained how the volume would go really low, and it did, but it didn't really bother me too much. Since I listen to it on my drive to/from work, I had to turn it up pretty loud anyways. I would have loved some of Teague's POV rather than all of the heroine.

Any additional comments?

The only thing I will comment (as others had) is that the author really uses some pretty gross language when it comes to the sex scenes. I always thought the words p***y and c**t were using pretty sparingly even in erotic novels, but this was pretty much every other word in that kind of context. She could have benefited from an editor helping out those descriptions a little.

If you're expecting more sci-fi than erotic novel, this one won't be for you. Just go in expecting that kind of language. In any case, I'll definitely give it another listen after I buy a few others, I liked it enough for a second time!

Beautifully erotic love story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is a beautiful love story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The hero. He was a serious bad-boy alpha criminal but loved harder than stone.

What does William Martin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He gave the hero a personality I could not have imagined but made it uniquely him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The heart of a criminal.

Any additional comments?

I almost skipped this book because of one negative review. While the ending did seem as if Enangeline got tired and just said "I'm done." No rap up. No epilogue. No ending. The rest of the story was very good. It is a little slow in the beginning but hang in there; it's worth the money/credit and time.

Amazing Listen

I love this book!! I've listened to it at least 4 times now. My only complaints are that the conclusion feels like it happened too quickly and I sometimes wished we got a little bit from the guy's POV. When I say the conclusion was quick, I mean that I had to stop and rewind twice my first time through to make sure I hadn't skipped something by accident because it was just BAM! THE END!! The narrator does an awesome job, though! listened to another 3 or 4 books he read.

Solid book

first time listening to a book of this type. picked it up mostly because I'm a huge fan of Pitch Black. Pretty solid book, but I just really wish the author used more synonyms whilst describing the sexual dreams it just felt that like you were listening/reading the same thing over and over. Other than that enjoyed it. The narrator is fantastic he does an incredible job throughout 5* performance.

Not what I expected

I was exhausted with the trend of submission and BDSM crap, was looking for something different, and this was it and it was good.

At first, I thought, men, this is cheesy. I'm a fan of eritic stories. But after a bit, I loved the characters, & loved the plot. I could listen to it all again.

Terry Goodkind move over....

I did not believe any author could be more repetitive than Goodkind but here you have it. This book could have been in readers digest if you condensed it to its actual week story line. It's hard to pick a place to start because there was so much wrong with this book. First if a male author would have written this weak minded, weak willed, whiney female lead with an IQ of 20 every woman activist would have rioted and burned this book and would have been right to do so. For a female author to write this character is absolutely shameful. As a male I find it offensive that the author would actually presume that two males would have fought over this nitwit. Then you have the repetition , thus the Goodkind reference. It was painful I started out skipping 30 seconds then playing at 1.5 speed then skipping chapters and finally stopped all together. This book is a complete waste of time and will be the first time I'm asking for my credit back. I could go on and on but it's really not worth the wasted time it would take to point out everything that was wrong with this book. I have something like 400 audiobooks and I have to say this ranks way down. The narrater did the best he could with what he had to work with. I will say this book is the only one I have from this author so it's possible that she may have been off her game with this one so my review only applies to this book alone.

Felt all kinds of wrong

He calls her "little girl" repeatedly, starts of as mocking which was fine but when he starts using it in a sexy way it doesn't sit right at all. There is also a moment when he said he won't listen to her words but to her body while she says no because she has some doubts... again it doesn't sit right

AMAZING

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! This shows a true romance between an aggressive, criminal male character who turns soft for the feminine but strong female character. This also has cute and fluffy animals and a made up world. It does briefly mention rape, but not too much. I loved it though. And it's romance. I definitely don't regret reading this and would recommend it to those who like this genre. This is not the first time I have read it and it is still as good as the first time. I loved this book!
