The outstanding new Sam and Remi Fargo adventure from the number-one New York Times best-selling author.

An 800-year-old treasure...an ancient cypher wheel...a brutal murder...and a man who will stop at nothing to claim what he considers rightfully his.

Husband-and-wife treasure-hunting team Sam and Remi Fargo have gone on impossible missions before and faced many perils, but never have they faced an adversary as determined as the one before them now. The battle will take them halfway around the world and at its end will be either one of the most glorious finds in history - or certain death.

Same Fargo Formula

Unfortunately or fortunately the Fargo's stumble across another treasure and some mad man give them the slip and win the day. A little mixing up of the formula is in order with the series.

Tad bit disappointed

I love this series of books and eagerly got the newest addition. Way too predictable, didn't learn much historically and the characters were pretty shallow in this one. I guess Remi and Sam are running out of new adventures...:(

Not Cussler's Best

This was kind of the same old Fargo story with the rich bad guy, lost treasure and the resultant close scrapes with death, as expected, but this one is very dull. Unfortunately, it reads like a rough draft rather than a final copy and Cussler fans will likely be very disappointed. Supporting characters are underdeveloped, the historical tie-ins are vague, and the intended climax is anything but. In addition, my favorite narrator, Scott Brick, is less than stellar this time around. Several times his English accent takes on an Australian twang which was pretty distracting.
