I enjoy this series. The ending of this volume in an audio book is confusing.

Good stuff first. I’m enjoying this cozy mystery series. The narrator is excellent. The books are funny and interesting. It’s a perfect walking, gardening, house cleaning listen. I intend to listen through the entire series.

Ok but this ending??

When you are reading a book you know things are wrapping up because of the number of pages left. I never check how much time is left on an audiobook. This book just, it just, ended! Multiple things are unresolved.

It’s a flaw of the format but also a gentle call out that it’s the flaw of the writer as well. This is obviously Part One of a larger mystery and just a few paragraphs or a very small chapter at the end as some kind of “upcoming preview” would have eased the transition.

Anyway! Listen to the series. Be prepared for this particular volume to just idk, stop. And here’s to the next book wrapping this all up.

I love the narrator

As usual, Amy Vansant wrote a killer of a book. The whole Pineapple series is awesome. I love that she always uses Rosemarie for the narrator.

Cozy mystery ? ……

This is not a cozy. The “bad guys” are sickey brutal to the point of evil. What could have been a terrific series is sadistic junk.

no cozy mystery here. author let me down. made it to chapter 13. didn't laugh once...too serious...sent it back. will give number 4 a chance. also killers unbelievable. small town charm lost
