A perfect second novel.

I was so afraid to start this book thinking that Taylor and Turtle would be separated and the loving bond they have be broken. Definitely a masterpiece follow up with a caring end.

The information about The Trail of Tears and other atrocities to Native Americans.

I liked the way custody of Turtle was determined based on her place in her family and tribe. The importance of family.

Satisfying Conclusion

Satisfying conclusion to the story of Turtle. As with the first book, I stoll couldn't stand the same narrator.

I laughed aloud walking down the street. I was sorry when it ended. I'm ready for the next book.
