Missing Pieces series, Book One

Dallas Muller has everything he never expected he'd have. He owns a successful motorbike mechanic shop in Newcastle, and he's madly in love with his boyfriend of four years, Justin Keith.

Justin has always struggled to find where he fit in, never realizing his true worth or what it means to be loved - until he met Dallas. Living and working together might be too much for some, but Dallas and Justin wouldn't have it any other way.

When a terrible accident tears their world apart, Justin's left with no memory of Dallas or their relationship. Trying to put the pieces back together is almost impossible when some pieces are blank and some are missing altogether. Dallas has to let Justin find his own way back to him and just hope that their love will light the way.

Helps with understanding the real issues.

I loved this book so much. It hit close to home; I having been in an accident which gave me a traumatic brain injury which is always there. It does change your life and who you are, but with the right help and love like in this story anything is possible. I am so pleased with how real this author painted this life changing event. I also hope others can actually learn what it really feels like from this book. The picture painted is so right.

Amnesia story with an incredibly sweet romance!

Narration: Highly recommend! Glen’s voices fit all the characters perfectly and his style of narration takes you through the emotional journey of this book. I was totally drawn into the story and basically pictured it like I was watching a movie. It’s May 2022 and I’ve already listened to this audio 3 times and have it in my rotation of favorites.

Story: I am not a fan of the amnesia trope, but I can make a huge exception for this book. The author outdid herself with this one! Dallas and Justin are an established couple when the book starts, but their relationship is basically set back to zero when Justin suffers memory loss during his recovery from a brain injury.

I love, love, love how devoted Dallas is to Justin and his recovery, and how Justin instinctively knows that he can trust Dallas. Nr weaves in lots of little details throughout the story that made Justin’s slow recovery and the romantic tension feel authentic. These guys are so sweet together even when things are platonic. I also loved the side characters, especially Justin’s medical team, Davo and Sparrow. There is a lot of love and kindness and support in this story and it’s absolutely heartwarming. This book ends shortly after Justin is discharged from the hospital and is working through recovery at home, so make sure to jump right into the next book!

I read this series when it first released, and now in May of 2022 I have read/listened to it at least 5 more times and can’t get enough of it. I adore this series.

A Nice Performance by Glen Lloyd

I'm a little afraid to say it, but I'm totally underwhelmed. I felt the pacing was too slow and nothing spectacular ever really happened.

I did enjoy the narrator, Glen Lloyd. Mr. Lloyd uses different voices and accents for each character, which I appreciate, and he delivers a nice, emotional performance.

Emotional feel-good comfort read!

This was my third time reading this trilogy. It’s a total comfort reread/relisten for me. Glen Lloyd does an amazing job portraying Justin and Dallas. Unfortunately there are a few editing problems with the audio, especially on the second book, but I just have to overlook them because otherwise the performance is wonderful. NR Walker and Glen Lloyd are a match made in heaven.

Difficult time

When you live with your love and he looses all memory of his life after an accident it must be incredibly worrying time and this story gives some idea of the stress.

Great narration from Glen...

***Audio Review ***

Great narration from Glen. Yes, there were tears and his voices for Dallas and Jussie suited the characters perfectly. Onto audio 2, Pieces of Me. Rating rounded up from 4.25 to 4.5 stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

***Book Review***

4.25 stars for this starter story in the Missing Pieces trilogy.

As with Leta Blake's The River Leith, you can only feel desperately sad for both protagonists, but the ending of this particular story left me with so much hope for what is to come...for both Justin and Dallas.

No drama, no emotions

Imagine someone writing a report about recuperating from amnesia. And he adds a final chapter to explain everything, just in case the reader missed something.

So sweet and emotional

The depth of true and devoted love is demonstrated beautifully in NR Walker’s latest masterpiece. Justin and Dallas are wonderful characters who find themselves in a traumatic chain of events which test them in the best and worst of ways.  The emotional journey this book takes us on is beautifully crafted and I gobbled up this read very quickly. Pieces of You wraps itself around you and envelops your mind in this vivid world – making you wonder what the boys are up to when you put the book down! A most perfect HEA is included so you are guaranteed to finish the book with a sigh. Readers who enjoy being pulled along by their emotions will adore this story – it’s achingly beautiful, full of poignant moments with the loving and sweet moments so stunning, it will take your breath away.
Great audio by Glen Lloyd - he really captures the characters well and brings the emotions of the story to the fore.
