Kay's best book yet!

I am so upset ! I couldn't put Phantom Cove down (rather, my Kindle, as I listened to it on Audible) and so finished in record time 😄
Truly a wonderful story, suspenseful, absorbing, and wonderfully paced.
Congrats too, to Matt Haynes, whose delivery, tone quality, and ability to paint a verbal picture of Oregon's beautiful Coast, all combine to create a feeling that you are sitting in same room as the characters.
Ms Jennings: if you're reading my review: why? You should be busy writing Book 6!

Great mystery novel!

Ms. Jennings outdid herself in this novel. The plot kept you on your toes. There was alot of twists and turns in this novel. I live in Oregon and was very familiar with all the locations mentioned in this book. I am an avid reader but I'm now an avid audiobook listener. I can hardly wait till the next book in this series. I'm sure it will be as good as all of the books in this series.

Getting better each time.

Although the mutual and over the top admiration between Fern and Matt is a little repetitious, the mystery was great. I love the location and local descriptions.

Good mystery with a twist

I enjoy the growth of the characters in this series of books. Having lived in Oregon and visited much of the coast, the stories told by Kay come to life and hold your attention right to the very last word.

switched narrators

I really love this series but this book had a new narrator and I really wished it would have kept with the original. I still listened and mostly enjoyed but I didn't care for the narrator at all.

Great Mystery and Series

Have listened to each of Kay Jennings books and have loved each one. The development of the key characters in each book in the series and storylines are well done. Particularly, love that it is set in beautiful Oregon. This audiobook had a male narrator and took a bit of getting used to for me as the other audiobooks in this series had a female narrator. Nevertheless i adjusted and would definitely recommend each book in the series. Looking forward to the next installment.

Best of the series so far

I loved everything about this book and story except the new narrator. He often slurred words making it hard to understand requiring rewinding to get what he said. He also put emphasis in strange places of a word or sentence that distracted me and made me lose track of the story again requiring me to rewind. I wasn’t sure about the original narrator either but at least I could easily I understand him and his narration style wasn’t distracting.
