What a setup!

What a setup for the conclusion of the series in the next two books. Definitely ranks among great Sci-Fi series of all time. Right up there with Niven Asimov and Herbert. But.. It’s the character development and level of empathy that the crew of the Roccinante feel for each other and the author’s own empathy for the human condition that sets this series apart. So yeah two thumbs way up for James F—kin Holden and crew!

Blah.. lackluster setup for next and final 2 books

Too much change has happened in the gignormous time gap between last book and this. The book is obviously a filler in preparation for a larger confrontation in the next 2 novels. The story isnt as compelling as the first few installations of the series and there was just too much character history/development lost in the missing 30 years.

Also, its obvious the author is injecting some of his political views in his books. Its been happening more and more throughout this series, including the novellas. I get it's his book and his point of view, but it doesn't add the characters except to virtue signal to his audience.

Great writing, as usual.

James S.A. Corey continues to provide great storytelling. love the characters. I also love that they managed to take the series in a totally unexpected direction and still keep the story on track

Really is the Expanses' Empire Strikes Back!

When you make the decision to jump 30 years ahead in your story, you better have a darn good reason. They do and they pull it off with the grace and ease of the Rocinante slipping through a gate.

This might be the most action packed book in the series.

This series is simply amazing...and Jefferson Mays is the perfect narrator for it. I continually recommend this series to EVERYBODY, especially folks who have never tried out audio books :)

Does not disappoint

A sci fi adventure for our time. Many political arguments are made in this book, good ones, and they often seem to conflict. It is foremost a human story.

These Expanse Novels are the Best!

Persepolis Rising continues the stellar series of novels by James S.A. Corey that have been adapted into the acclaimed Amazon Video franchise. PR chronicles the epic battle between the EMC (Earth Mars Coalition) and the emerging Laconian Empire. The protomolecule-related military technology that Laconia uses is nothing like the EMC has ever seen or even dreamed of. The battle ensues with James Holden and the crew of the Rocinante right in the middle. Spoiler alert. I like these audiobooks better than the TV series! Persepolis Rising does not disappoint!
