Not my favorite

I didn’t feel the usual angst between the characters that I have felt in the past with her other books. Regardless, still my fave author.

Opulent

I loved this book. Yes, the “accents” took some getting used to, but the story…. It is OPULENT! I love the decadence of the New Orleans area. Love the fashion. Love the mature characters. I’m married to someone who was verbally and physically abused by his parents. The scars never go away. A very family strong book!

The different storyline was interesting and provocative. I did really enjoy the book and recommend others to read it.

Beautiful, Remarkable, Incredible, Etc.

It's no secret that I'm a long time, die hard, and eternal fan of Kristen Ashley. For me, she can absolutely do no wrong. This, once more, has rocked my world. She's masterful, Kristen is. No author has the kind of talent she does with language, words, emotions, characters, relationships, and everything in between. These characters, in particular, were such a pleasure to get to know. In summation, I adored Perfect Together.

Dynamic!

The depth and complexity of the writing and characters is nothing short of pure artistry. I laughed, I cried, I felt a whole spectrum of emotions. We are never too old to keep learning and growing. Nice to have that reminder proven again so valiantly. Can’t wait for the next book! Thank you KA! 🤘🏻

Slow moving story.

Not a bad story but slow moving. Love Kristen Ashley but not one of my favorites.

Okay-ish, I think…

I’m writing as the credits roll, I’m conflicted here. Long time KA fan. Huge, Huge fan of her work. This one…how do I put this? So, I adore her books because I can slip away, lose myself in the character and story. Even far fetched places and characters- those especially- she can create a place I gladly fall in to. But this one, eh, well, these characters had REAL big issues. And not just a couple. This family had ALL the issues. To have this couple reach a resolution so easily and so quickly didn’t sit well with me. To forgive and have dinner with mom/grandma after learning all that? There was just too much. I did have moments where I thought, wow she redeemed it a bit here. And I did fall in a few times. Enough that I could finish it and be ok-ish with the end. But overall, it’s a nope from me. Sadly.

Loved This Book

I couldn’t figure out how this tied to the series outside of a brief mention of one character but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This reminds me of how imperfect we are a humans and often cause our own damage. I love telling of imperfect people trying to redeem from hurts and the honest reality of forgiving what hurt you and finding a better place. Remy and Wyn and their family were all worth getting to know.
