Why

I don't like it when the Hero has to be a true "you lnow what". Especially when he can be so so sweet. It doesn't last long thankfully. I guess no one is perfect.

not a typical Kristen Ashley book, enjoyable

This is a complete shift for Kristen Ashley and doesn't feel like her writing. i enjoyed the story but its much more reserve and not as dynamic or controversial characters.
I enjoy shifter romance so story is good and enjoyable.

If you know me you know I love KA and today she has gifted us an amazing surprise release!

There is so much I could say about what I loved about this story but I don’t even know where to begin. Their love story is steamy and filled with adventure, angst, shifters of all kinds and royalty set in an interesting futuristic world. You just need to dive in and enjoy the ride!

Absolutely the best book!

Loved everything about this book. Cannot wait for the next besties book!! This book has everything you could want. It’s like the Rock Chicks but with badass/gorgeous dragons, demons, fae, and other shifters! The writing was so mega! Turns you don’t see coming, that makes you reread to see if you could’ve seen coming, and no you can’t. I love all her books. Never thought anything would come close to the Rock Chicks as favorites, but this absolutely did!!

A great read/listen my first fantasy book it would get 5 stars but for narration

The story was great the characters are wonderful of course it’s a KA book. I will be back for the sequels but unfortunately I was very disappointed with the narration in that she does male voices poorly. She’s great with women but just because you lower your voice to be male does not mean you’re male. I do not understand why KA refuses to do dual narratives like other successful authors, it’s disrespectful to us her fans the book would have been so much better with dual narratives, however, as my first fantasy novel I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Feels like a KA version of ACOTAR

My first impression is that this series feels like it's going to be a KA version of ACOTAR, which isn't bad, but it's mildly disappointing only because part of the reason I love KA is because she usually leads the pack, not follows. It's not my favorite of her books, but it's far from my least favorite. I think it'll be easier to tell how much I like or dislike the series when the next book comes out. The performance was good. The story was decent, although again, it gave me ACOTAR vibes.

This book has it all. Beautifully written story, outstanding characters you completely connect with all in a world that has been created with the utmost detail.
Immerse yourself in this world, start your journey with the sweetest couple and their journey into love. You will not be disappointed.

This is the best novel I’ve listened to in months. Can”t wait for the next one in the series.

Just like most KA I loved the story and all characters. I appreciate complicated relationship building of this couple and I’m excited for the next novels for this series based on what we have already seen!
