Publisher's summary

Emma keeps having those recurring dreams of her parents holding her since she was two years old. Just like in the previous dreams, she sees a zombie, and it seems as if her parents are trying to help it by coming up with a vaccine.

Flashback to the past when her parents died in a car accident, the FBI is hard at work in trying to piece their own puzzle to find the lab which Emma’s parents ran. Reaching the venue, they discover another zombie. The new situation creates a panic and fear that grips everyone as they scramble to figure out what’s going on.

After a discussion with the FBI, Mrs. Norris is sucked up much deeper within the plot, and the situation gets ever more intense. Without any rhyme or reason, more people could be infected in times ahead.
More truths are revealed about Emma’s past. Some of the questions are answered, but more questions begin to emerge in this sequel.
The zombie virus strand is complicated and diverse. While some of these creatures are harmless, others are out for blood. Mrs. Norris reveals the secret to Emma, and Ben also finds out the long-hidden truth.

This pause-resister sequel will have you bound to your seat in anticipation of what’s to come next. Is Mrs. Norris at risk of being infected? Will Emma be able to keep it together or will the circumstances overwhelm her? The team must stay focused and work closely with each other if they are to survive.

GOOD READ!

Good read! Kept me entertained and captivated. Nice for the drive into work. The characters were believable, although some sounded just a little childish. I will definitely be continuing this series and recommending it to my friends. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Entertaining

This was my first venture into a zombie apocalypse book, so I'm not quite sure if I can provide a fair review. I can safely say this is definitely not my genre of choice, however, that being said the story did keep my interest, and I did want to continue to see how it ended. I did find the narrator a bit slow in spots, but maybe that is just my interpretation. Overall, it kept me entertained and was a nice short story for my drive.

Quick listen

Way to short. It's awesome, well written and well narrated.I think that there was so much more that could have been done with. Although the length of it does make you want more. This is a good story.

zombie booklette

i love the story line, narrator uses same voice and inflection...but story line saves it.

the books are rather short, i feel each book could have been a chapter.....1 credit for each book feels unfair. Great story line, will listen through the series

Very good second episode in this Zombie series

This second episode in the Virus Z series takes right off where Before the Outbreak left off. Not only do we find out more about Emma, but several things are revealed to her that give her a deeper appreciation for some of the folks around her and their relationships to her parents. Once again this is perfect entertainment for waiting for an appointment. Sara Hogan does an excellent job of narration and bringing the story to life on this episode.
