Publisher's Summary

Maya Augustine needed to disappear - her life depended on it.

When her path led her to the middle-of-nowhere Virginia, she found the perfect place to hide. A woman on the run, Maya had no business befriending anyone, let alone allowing herself to become involved with a man...especially after her last experience. Even so, she couldn’t help but become obsessed with the bruised, battered, and beautiful killer who walked into her life.

Grady Cain reached rock bottom. His past finally caught up with him, causing him to lose his edge at work and in life. Spiraling down a desperate path of remorse and guilt, Grady wasn’t expecting his refuge to come in the form of a woman. Day in, day out, she was the only thing he’d allowed himself to think about. To focus on. To consume him.

One was running. The other had nothing to run to. Until these troubled souls crossed paths...and two paths became one.

The Killers series is intended for mature listeners.

Maya and Grady!

-Insta-attraction
-possessive/protective Hero
-sweet heroine that was running away from a dangerous ex
-suspenseful plot that wasn't too angsty
-no other woman drama
-returning side characters from book one
-new side characters. Grady's sister who I would love to see books for and the old people at the nursing home Maya works at. The old people were funny.
-Harry the Cow made an appearance
-great epilogue
-Great narration via audiobook version

VERY ENJOYABLE WITH 5 ⭐️ NARRATION

You can’t listen to this lengthy listen without first applauding the five star stellar narration by Kit and Jason who were absolutely fantastic at bringing the cast of characters to life and giving the storyline their all. Bravo.. you can’t see it, but I’m giving the both of you a well-deserved standing ovation right now ❤️.

And the storyline didn’t suck either.. in fact it rocked as it picked up from where Book one ended.. with romance, intrigue, suspense, secrets, action, angst, fireworks and feels as a damaged and lost Government Assassin becomes obsessed by a woman who will change his future.. if he lets her in. She’s running from a dangerous past.. but where better to run to than into the arms of the one man (.. and the one organization) that can keep her safe and slay her deadly demons.. but only if she tells him her truths.

Worth a credit? Yes, it was a very entertaining listen.

So Good!

After listening to book one of the killers series I was hooked! For the first time ever I listened to that book again immediately after finishing. Then I upgraded my membership so that I could listen to the rest of the series. Love the characters in this series. Enjoyed the Grady and Maya as much as crew and Addie! Will listen to them all!

Wow

I loved this book. Narration was perfection. Hot as h@ll alpha and a sassy girl running from a mob ex. This is well written. It’s well developed. It’s sexy, it’s got hot guy standing up and defending his girl from douchebag ex. And boy can he defend. If you don’t fall in love with the characters I would be very surprised. I am moving on to Asa’s story. Can’t wait.

Nasal Narrator

Jason Clarke has a great voice for the narration, but Kit Swann's voice is a bit nasally sounding, I have enjoyed both books and if the books weren't as good as they are I probably wouldn't listen.

GOOD LISTEN

This was my 1st book by Byrnne Asher and I liked the story. The characters were interesting and the story held my interest. it had some fun parts and a little angst but not on the holding my breath level. I was very pleasantly surprised with the narration by Kit Swann. I am looking forward to the other books in this series.

Grady is totally amazing

Loving the Killers series by Brynne Asher, each character is better than the last. The female voices by Jason Clarke are the only detractors, he makes every female sound nervous and unsure of themselves, like Jessie Eisenberg as Blue in Rio. The female characters are t written that way and it takes steamy out of the scenes. Since these books are only audio as far as I can find I suppose I have to deal with it. The writing is good but again, the word squeeze is overused terribly.

Fell in love with the characters

Even though each book is a stand alone story, I would recommend listening in the correct order.
All are great, but this one is my favourite I adore the characters, especially Grady.
I've listened to the series twice so far, and will no doubt listen again

Another awesome ‘Killers’ series book 5⭐️

These books are brilliant!
I put them on and listen on ear buds at every opportunity until it’s finished.
These are standalone, but with linked characters which is nice as it gives the story more depth.
The characters are interesting with super hot 🔥🔥🔥 chemistry and enough depth and backstory to keep it exciting. Lots of plot twists, OMG and LoL moments too.
Lots of hot sex scenes too, which are well written and believable.
The two narrators are excellent and well chosen.
A great all round book, well put together and produced.
Exactly what this genre of audiobooks should be 😁👍❤️
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

great story

i liked this book but found the intensity in this book wasn't as strong as crews story whereas I thought it would be as Grady is described as a tortured soul in book 1 but its obviously done while he's alone and just getting to know Maya through surveillance.
There is a lot of the angst but not as suspenseful as Addies story.
I liked the pace and I enjoyed getting to know Maya. I connected with her but I struggled to feel for Grady like I did Crew. although I must say Crew and Grady must have discussed their steam coz there are a lot if similarities...just sayin.
I knew the baddie was going to appear near the end and that was. exciting.
The comedy centering around mayas partime work is a an absolute hoot.
it's getting very family orientated toward the end which leads us toward Asa.
narrator's were superb. I'm really enjoying kit and her voices..she's fast becoming a fave.
Loved the characters and looking forward to Asa and his story
