Excellent book - amazing story
I really enjoyed this - although I must say I started to wonder at one point if I had picked up some anti-Allied book for a bit, but the rest of the book makes it clear it’s not the case and the author was giving his opinion, not spewing talking points. But overall his story is remarkable and well told. I own hundreds of WW2 books and I’d put this in the top tier of personal accounts, even if there is no combat.
The narration fit the book perfectly.
