Story
War makes for strange alliances - and so it is for the free city of the Colonnade, which must turn to the Mother of Nightmares and her dynasty of monsters to defend themselves against the hordes of Chaos. The Colonnade, a free city, is the jewel of Ghur, obsessed with purity in a realm of bestial savagery. But now, it faces annihilation at the hands of an unstoppable beastherd. In a desperate gamble, Councillor Atella Reigehren requests the aid of a being anathema to the Colonnade. She seeks Lauka Vai, the Mother of Nightmares, and her dynasty of monsters, the Avengorii.

Story
A restless menace threatens the town of Wyrmditt. Stirred from his grave by fell magic, Sabrodt, the Shrouded King, seeks dominion over the kingdom he failed to claim in life. So great is the terror inflicted upon the lands by Sabrodt and his nighthaunts that Sigmar, God-King, sends a retinue of his warriors most skilled in the art of Azyrite magic to liberate the town. The Stormcast Eternals of the Sacrosanct Chamber are warrior-wizards, imbued with arcane knowledge and the power to wield the energies of the storm in battle.

Within this book you will find Hammerhal, a fantastic new novella from Josh Reynolds: Dark forces stir within the bowers of the mysterious Hexwood. A great warhost of Tzaangor beastkin, creatures devoted to Tzeentch, the Architect of Fate, defile the once verdant lands of Ghyran. All that opposes them are the noble Stormcast Eternals of the Hallowed Knights. Reforged in resplendent sigmarite and wielding the lightning of Azyr, few can stand against these heroes. Also within this book is a host of awesome short stories giving you a flavour of the many warring armies that exist within the worlds of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Hamilcar Bear-Eater, Lord-Castellan of the Astral Templars Stormhost, was warned not to venture into the twisted shadeglass labyrinth of Shadespire. Naturally, he headed there right away, because no one tells Hamilcar what he can't do.... Now he's trapped, lost, alone, and haunted – both by the ghosts that inhabit the City of Mirrors and by the spectres of his own past, doubts and fears. Can he overcome these obstacles and escape to fight again? Probably - he is Hamilcar, mightiest of all the Stormcast Eternals, after all!

It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. As battles between the living and the dead rage throughout the Mortal Realms, the War of Heaven and Death begins anew.

A warrior of the Stormcast Eternals returns to the place of her birth, long before she was reforged as a celestial hero. Only by coming to terms with her past can she save her home for the future. A Stormcast Eternal returning to her human life is a fascinating thing, and this drama explores how much she has changed and grown across her lives - and what may be diminished within her as well.

Publisher's Summary
A Warhammer Age of Sigmar audio drama anthology.
From the nightmarish labyrinth of the City of Mirrors to the wilds of Ghur and a rebellious town in the lands of Death, three full-cast audios explore dark corners of the Mortal Realms and the heroes and villains who battle within them.
Listen to it because:
Three great heroes - Hamilcar Bear-eater, Neferata and Prince Maesa - each face very personal trials that could see them fall into darkness in these three tales that beautifully evoke bitter melancholy - as well as provide audio action.
The gods are at war. As the Mortal Realms plunge into darkness and despair, there are an ambitious few who seek to turn these fortunes in their favour. Within the nightmarish, labyrinthine halls of Shadespire, a famed Lord-Castellant must escape the Mirrored City to cement his legend forever.
While upon the desolate plains of Shyish, a vampire queen faces the fires of rebellion that threaten her dominion, and in Ghur, an aelven wanderer journeys to cheat the God of Death to resurrect his lost love.
The three audio dramas in this collection showcase the vast power and untold riches that await those who are brave enough to claim them, if only they dare.
The Palace of Memory by David Guymer.
Black Atonement by David Annandale.
Hungerfiend by Guy Haley.
Total running time 81 minutes. Performed by John Banks, Steve Conlin, Andrew Fettes, Emma Gregory, Matthew Hunt, Toby Longworth, Carla Mendonca, Melvyn Rawlinson, Richard Reed, David Seddon, Genevieve Swallow & Jo Woodcock.

3 extremely short stories that go nowhere.
The voice actors were okay if not a bit over dramatic. The stories are too short and go nowhere to the extent that I would call this collection pointless.

Cool format but short, basic stories let it down
At first I was unsure how I liked the format. This is voice acted rather than narrated, it's hard to get a feel for what's going on when you just hear sound effects and nothing is described. By the end though I LOVED the voice acting and I'm convinced this format can be successful.
Unfortunately the first story was the best, then other two are markedly worse. At around 30 mins each, the stories are interesting but this felt more like a test of the format than a concrete try to create something amazing.

It was okish would never listen to it again, just glad I didn’t pay for it and I got it as a free audiable trial, it has 3 short stories which again are all quite average to sort of annoying.
