Out to Get You

Out to get you; romantically speaking, out to hunt the fox and inevitably catch him and love him forever! J.P. Oliver wrote an interesting story that captures the reader’s attention nearly from the beginning and never lets up until nearly the end. This story involves an equestrian love for both human and animal. The storyline is riveting, thrilling, at times humorous, sad, yet pleasing and even annoying (when you, the reader wish you could just reach through and shout out to the individual to wake up and smell the roses not the horse manure!). I strongly recommend this book but beware, it is one that once you begin listening you won’t want to stop the story until the end. Narrator and narration was good. There were times I, personally didn’t see or envision the same interpretation of the words but all in all it was a good narration.

Sweet deliciously hot romance! Loved it!

Whitt is a billionaire business man and could literally have anything he wants, except what he truly wanted and desperately needs is just a friend, a lover, someone who doesn’t care about his money. Reece is a good honest guy that loves his dog and working with his horse’s. He’s actually landed his dream job with the most handsome, smoking hot man! However he keeps his thoughts to himself because he’s pretty sure his new boss is straight as an arrow! The chemistry and sexual tension between them becomes off the charts explosive steaming hot when they finally decide to go with the strong feelings that they both had been dreaming about! Out to Get You is a sweet mm romance that definitely had my attention from the very beginning hoping for a delicious steamy hot HEA and i was not disappointed! Narrator Bump Turgeson does a fantastic job bringing extra heat into this delicious steamy hot story and uses his sexy deep voice to make it easy to distinguish between the characters. I recommend this as a very sweet steamy hot audiobook and I’ll definitely be looking for more of J. P. Oliver’s books and audiobooks!

Narration makes it better

Usually I'm dissatisfied with the narration and a lot of the time it ruins as good book. In this case it makes an ok book better and worth the listen.

Stay the Course

After a health scare that landed him in the ER, Witt's doctor recommended Witt find a healthy hobby that would completely take his mind off of work. Witt has a lovely, empty barn that he decided to fill with equipment and horses. Knowing nothing about horses, Witt hires a tutor who can teach him to care for his livestock, properly care for the equipment, and teach him to ride. Witt accepts an invitation to a fox hunt held in one month. He is determined to be ready for the hunt as he wants to impress his host. A major business deal hangs on Witt's ability to "stay the course." The story is more involved than just learning to ride. Sabotage, betrayal, past life exes, and impossible challenges facing both man and beast keep the tension high. Oh. Did I mention romance? Author J P Oliver slides that in there, too. Narrator Bump Turgeson is a voice actor. If the story includes a sneeze, he'll give you a sneeze. Also grunts, groans, and sexy sighs.

Great Story

This is another great story by J.P. Oliver with well-developed characters. Whitt is a millionaire who has it all but someone special and who is overworked. Reese is a talent horseman. When Whitt Dr. tells him to take a break, he purchases a ranch without not knowing anything about a horse. His neighbor recommends horse trainer Reese. Both men are attracted to each other but are afraid to say anything at first. They both were so focused on their own goals. Once they no longer could hide their feeling, rumors started flying. I felt the chemistry between Whitt and Reese. The narration was very well done.

Sad Billionare...

I liked it. I thought that the Billionaire character played a little dumb. He didn't get the plot against him and really assumed worst of client without checking more. I liked the main characters play on one another. The narrator read the steamy scenes well but characters sounded the same and I got lost on who was speaking sometimes. He was also really breathy and swallowed a lot too close to microphone.

An amazing love story

Bump Turgeson did a great job narrating this story. Whitt and Reece are a great couple. I spent the majority of the book wanting to shake sense in to each of them. It was painful to witness the two of them dancing around what they felt for each other. I loved this story and was so excited when Whitt and Reece finally admitted their love for each other.

enjoyed it.

Did the story keep me engaged: yes Were there any parts I found annoying: no ... but there were time's I wanted to put the two MC's in a room and make them talk it out (lol!) Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes Would I listen to it again: yes Thoroughly enjoyed "Out to Get You" - it appealed to all the 'horsey' bits in me. Not what I expected after reading the "blurb", I was expecting more of a 'tabloid scandal' type story, which wasn't the case at all. It was so much better, had interesting characters and a well constructed plot, good pace and more story than sex (which is what I prefer). It had me completely invested in Whitt and Reece's outcome. I enjoyed Bump Turgeson's narration, His characters were distinguishable and the emotions and intonations were in all the right places, adding to the overall audio experience.

Horse Training turns to Romance

Sweet story about a multi-millionaire who is told to take a break by his doctor due to stress. Whitt has one more big deal pending, but he can take a break and make the deal at the same time. A meeting with the target of this latest deal ends with him agreeing to a fox hunt in just a few weeks. He bought a ranch, but know nothing about ranching or horses, so his neighbor recommends a horse trainer named Reese. Reese accepts the job with the proviso that he is planning to run one of his own horses at a show around the same time as the fox hunt. Reese and Whitt agree that both can be done, including training Whitt to ride well enough to be in the fox hunt. Both men are attracted to each other, but both are afraid to say anything. One thing leads to another, and Reese and Whitt become lovers. But the man Whitt is making the deal with has a reputation as being very conservative, so he is afraid to make their relationship known. But the man also values honesty above all else. Then rumors begin swirling about the two and also rumors that cast doubt on the legitimacy of the deal Whitt is trying to make. Where are these rumors coming from? The narrator did a pretty good job with this story, keeping it light where needed and hot and spicy when needed! Quite enjoyable! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A Fun Ride - With Just The Desired Outcome

Whitt and Reece, the protagonists of ‘Out to Get You’ are brilliantly brought to life by Bump Turgeson’s narration in this well done Audible book version of J. P. Oliver’s M/M romance novel. Turgeson not only narrates with passion, but seamlessly moves between male and female characters and even the horses that are central to the plot. While there may be one or two ‘doubts’ too many, this is still a fine example of the genre.
