Publisher's Summary

Nate Pearson is ridiculously handsome and wears the hell out of a suit and tie, but I’ve seen the parade of beautiful women leaving his apartment across the hall - a different one every time - and I want no part of it. When it comes to romance, I’m looking for something real, something that will last: the happily ever after.

As a divorce attorney, he loves to tell me there’s no such thing.

As a wedding planner, I choose to disagree.

We disagree on almost everything, in fact. Everything except James Bond. The only time we really get along is when we’re watching 007 flicks together, and I’ll admit - he has rescued me from a disaster or five. So when one of the baton twirlers from his parade leaves a baby girl at his door with a note that says “I’ll come back for her” and he begs me for help, I can’t turn him down.

But it’s a mistake.

Because watching him with his daughter, I start to see another side of Nate, a side that has my breath coming faster, my body craving his, my heart longing for him to change his mind about love and tell me there’s a chance for us.

I don’t want to be just another girl leaving his apartment in the morning.

I want to be the one he asks to stay.

Perfect neighbors to lovers story

Perfect friends to lovers story. More like neighbors to lovers story. I enjoyed every moment of it. Emme is a hopeless romantic events planner. Nate is a anti love divorce lawyer. They are totally opposites but share a love for Bond movies. Nate's world is turned upside down one night. A baby is left on his door step. His baby he didn't know about. Now his life is going not the direction he had planned. Emme is a good friend and is there to help him. Soon their bond changes from friendship to what could be love. But Nate fights it and Emme starts to think that maybe he is just another heart breaker to add to her list of bad decisions. They both have to decide what they truly want and need in their lives.
I loved loved this story. Especially hearing it as an audio book. I can't get over how perfect these narrators were. I felt every word they said. I got so lost in this story. This was my first read from this author and I can't wait to read more of her books. She had a way of reeling me in from the start. The book had it all: friendship, love, humor, heartbreak, frustrating moments, drama and many surprise moments. I highly suggest this book!

Incredible!

Only You by Melanie Harlow had me captivated from the very beginning. I loved the premise of a divorce lawyer meeting his match in a wedding planner. Neighbors becoming lovers. An unexpected child left on his doorstep. So many wonderful details that were spun together into one incredible listen. Stephen Dexter and Lauren Ezzo performed this book brilliantly. They had incredible chemistry and added realistic emotions. I am so looking forward to listening to more books by this talented author and narrators.

Ahh, Nate!

Can you find a better story teller than Melanie Harlow? She can create a world that sucks me in and holds me stranded for hours as I fall in love with her characters. This first in the One and Only series has me looking for more. Nate is a divorce lawyer, slightly jaded with the idea of commitment. Across the hall, Emme is a wedding planner and in love with love. These two are great friends, hanging out together, watching moves, bickering over the simplest of things, but never have crossed that line of intimacy. Now Nate is faced with the surprise of being a father, and who does he turn to? These two are the sweetest together. Nate is incredibly attractive with his ignorance of being a father. Who knew babies were so much work and needed so many things! Emme is a lifesaver, but more than that, she is his partner. Their attraction to each other is palpable, but that niggling feeling of commitment has Nate on edge. Melanie Harlow really melds this story so well with so many real life situations, it's a pleasure to listen to. From agoraphobia to postpartum depression to single parenting the story flows with circumstances that we can all relate to in some way and makes the listen that much more enjoyable.

Stephen Dexter and Lauren Enzo are perfect for the dual narration of this book. Stephen gives Nate that cocky arrogance until he is given his daughter. He softens so incredibly and the performance gives you all the feels that Nate is going through. Lauren plays Emme to a T! I loved her voice, feeling Emme's love, frustration and motherly feel all through the story. It's a great listen and I can't wait for book 2!

Gah! I just LOVED this!

Nate and Emme are neighbors and friends. They’ve lived across from each other for three years. Emme is a wedding planner (or party planner) and Nate is a divorce attorney. Oh my gosh... can you imagine that 2 for 1 package? When the marriage Emme plans for you all fails, come see our divorce attorney for half price! Giggle.. sorry that is so NOT how it goes but I got sidetracked there with a great marketing plan. Not so good for a romance book! Lol

Anyway, Emme is a lover, totally a dreamer that believes in love and strives to find “the one”. Unfortunately, she dates a string of losers and really starts to loose that spark that she has. Nate on the other hand is a total romance cynic. He has no interest in seeing anything but the chick leaving the next morning. He’s a one night kind of man. He loves his life and is incredibly content. One night after a night of Bonding, Nate’s life, as he knows it is over. He goes from hitting the gym daily, dating regularly, sleeping a full 8 hours a night to rectal thermometers, diapers, and a little similar face that turns his life upside down and inside out.

Nate made this entire book! He killed me! I’m not one to highlight books but Only You was a gorgeous book! Nate said: “I feel like there are reasons no one tells young people these things before they become parents. The world’s population would probably decline dramatically.” I booted out with that statement because it’s so true!!

These narrators were PERFECT, yes the all caps are necessary. They are just fabulous! I'll give it that they had an absolutely perfect storyline to work with but their performance was just off the wall perfect! I'm drying for Stella's story!

Only You

What would you do if a baby was left at your doorstep with a note saying it was yours? This is something Nate has to deal with and he does not live the life of a father. While he learns the ins and outs of babies, his neighbor Emme was up for the task to help. Listening to these two grow into a relationship together was fun and frustrating at the same time. Lucky for them, they had friends and family willing to help them along the way. This is a must read for anyone who likes friends to lovers stories.

GAH! LOVED IT!!

Melanie has done it again! I loved this book so hard! I loved Emme! She is a spit fire hopeless romantic with quick wit and a heart of gold! Nate is the hot AF neighbor who always saves her ass when she needs it, little does he know that she is the one who is doing the saving! I loved the banter and friendship these two had before a spark was ever lit. this book is sexy as hell and gives all the feels to boot! The narration was perfect! I love Stephen Dexter, it was a first for Lauren and she nailed it too! so good!!

Sexy Single Dad? Yes Please! Loved it!

Sexy Single Dad? Yes Please! Witty Banter? Oh Yeah! Super hot and steamy passion? Definitely! Melanie Harlow's new Friends-to-Lovers romance will capture your heart and never let go!
Emme had a way of picking the wrong men, but that didn't stop her from believing in love and soul mates. She is funny, feisty, and slightly prone to disaster. She gets herself into some hilarious situations only to be rescued by Nate, her sexy neighbor. Nate doesn't believe in love, and finds it hard to trust. But he likes that Emme needs him, even if she doesn't want to. The tables get turned when he finds out he is a father when his baby girl is left on his doorstep for him to take care of. Now he needs to depend on Emme for help. His initial reaction to his daughter is priceless! Nate and Emme make a great team and are scorching hot together. Nate is so swoony as he navigates being a new father and learning to love. There were so many comical moments but several emotional moments as well. I loved everything about this story from the charming characters to the hilarious and steamy story. I am also a huge fan of the grand gesture and this had a very sweet and romantic one! It was perfect!
I was totally lost in this story due to the amazing talents of Stephen Dexter, and Lauren Ezzo! They were so perfectly cast as Nate and Emme, and added so much personality to this story. Their ability to convey such emotion from the dramatic to the funny, from panic to passion, and all the sweet moments in between was superb. Dexter especially blew me away with his pacing, making my heart race when Nate struggled with his emotions and learning to open himself up to love. I love the way Ezzo portrayed Emme's frustration, pain, and growth into a confident woman and lover.
I loved every minute of this audio and can't wait for Emme's sisters stories next!
