She is sure that the loud, explosive fights are just evidence of the passion in their relationship. They always make up, of course, and he always apologizes and swears that he loves her. Things will improve, they must - they are in love, and on the cusp of an exciting future together.

True crime lovers, listen up!
Man, what a story, it’s wild that this is all true! Here’s who I’ll be going out of my way to recommend this book to:
1) true crime junkies
2) women who have ever been unsure whether what they experienced from family/friends/lovers was abuse
3) men who might assume abuse is only something that results in physical bruises.
