Great Story Telling, Well Read -- Captivating!
What made the experience of listening to One Right Thing the most enjoyable?
The voice characterisations: a well modulated and easy-on-the-ears voice of the narrator whose ability to change pitch and accent render the voices of the individuals easily believable.
What other book might you compare One Right Thing to and why?
James Patterson's books come to mind but Iden's stories (as read by Sherr) have more depth and a steadier pace without the short and sometimes frenetic stride.
Which scene was your favorite?
The discovery and exploration of the farm.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No! I need to get out of the car for a walk! Seven hours is a bit too much of a stretch! That is not to say the story's not captivating. Indeed it was but I find the only time to listen is on a drive (and I have a 45 minute to and from work that makes it easy). This book provided a fantastic alternative to the news or other local radio with its attendant advertising.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this, my my first audible crime novel, so much that I am actually in the process of buying another of Iden's in the series.

Excellent series!
Excellent mystery series with a great narrator. The first two were five star all the way. Interesting characters and story well told. Realistic but not too gruesome. I really cared about retired detective Marty Singer from the beginning. This third one was not quite as good but still worthwhile.

Outstanding detective thriller; excellent series
One Right Thing is the 3rd novel in the Marty Singer series by Matthew Iden. Singer is a retired DC homicide detective living in Virginia. A man he sent to jail years ago and who has since been released is murdered and Singer is determined to find who killed him and why. One Right thing is a great story well told. Narration is stellar.
