Too good to put down for a second

Very excellent book. Although it’s hard for me to listen to these kind of stories where domestic violence is involved this book had me in tears and laughing a min later.
I recommend this story snd god I love Lori Princes voice fell in love with her voice.

I love this story

Great book. I love everything about this book. The characters and the whole storyline. Ali Vali is a fabulous writer. I especially love Lori Prince reading this book. Amazing narrator always.

Beautiful story and amazing narration!!

I first have to say that Lori Prince is now my favorite narrator. She brought all the characters to life! I loved the emotion she puts into the story. I shed tears, laughed out loud and the sex scenes were hot!! I have listened to several books she has narrated recently and have always loved her voice but this story put her at the top of my list! Now on to the book 😀. Ali Vali blew me away with this book! I fell in love with Desi and Harry! Desi went through hell. However, I came to see her as a survivor. Domestic Violence is a hard topic and Ali did a great job with how she handled it. Harry was absolutely adorable! She feels so deeply. She may be sweet and adorable but I pity the person who mess with people she loves! I read a similar version of this story several years in her Fanfic site and was impressed with the changes she made. I loved this book so much ( and just about anything that Ali writes) that I own the paper back, the kindle version and the audiobook!! I plan on re-reading and definitely re-listening to this book many times 😀. I will look forward to the sequel book/audiobook. By the way, if Ali Vali ever puts all the Cain Casey books on audio, my vote is for Lori Prince to narrate them, please, please 😊

Amazing Book!

This was an amazing book. Beautiful writing and the narrator Lori Prince was able to capture the beautifully complex emotions within this book perfectly. I absolutely loved this book!

Great story!!

Wow, second-chance romance with a heavy twist. This was a great story with quite a bit of suspense. Domestic violence is a major theme in this book so be prepared for some emotional weight. The romance portion of this book was truly beautiful. Harry (Harriet) and Desi had a love story that began when they were teenagers but were torn apart after high school graduation. They meet again when Harry is the surgeon on-call when a brutally beaten Desi is brought into the ER. We get to see their path of rediscovering what they lost while trying to keep Desi safe from the people that want to hurt her again. The audiobook is narrated by Lori Prince so you know it’s done perfectly.

omgggg speechless to tears

I don't even know where to start this book was so good. I knew the narration would be superb because Lori duh!!! but the story plot, the mcs, the sex scene, the supporting character... I mean this need to be a movie. I want this to come to life plz... I really hope the sequel is equally riveting... oh plz get this

More unforgettable characters by Ali Vali!

This book is based on Ali Vali's online fan fiction titled How Do You Mend A Broken Heart. It has been reworked but the characters of Desi, Harry, Mona, Rachel, and Albert are truly so well written, I feel as if they are old friends. The subject matter is domestic violence and the aftermath is described in detail but Ali brings us to the Happily Ever After we want. If you are looking for a heartwarming story, give this one a try.

A Great Listen!

First time listening to this author and it was a treat.

Narration and Storytelling hit this one outta the park! I was drawn into the drama from the start. I wouldn't mind a side story with Serena and Rachel (unless there is one and I don't know it.)

Love this book !

It was heart wrenching but beautiful. I’ve listened to it 3 times . Only now I skip the parts that broke my heart . Desi and Harry have become my two favorite characters
