Publisher's Summary
Mylas Grey is a private investigator, but don’t call him a private detective. That title belongs to his father, not to him. Mylas is the chief investigator for Senator Davis Allen, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. His job is to do background investigations for the president’s judicial nominees, and that’s the only kind of investigation he’s interested in doing.
But then, Lizzie, the senator’s daughter, goes missing from her campus apartment. And suddenly, just like that, Mylas finds himself back in his hometown of Columbia, Missouri, investigating her disappearance as if he were a run-of-the-mill private detective.
Nothing about the investigation is easy.
Discovering a motive isn’t easy...
Lizzie has a reputation for doing the unexpected, and she could have just left town for a few days without telling anyone. On the other hand, she could have done something stupid and gotten herself into serious trouble.
Staying focused on the investigation isn’t easy...
When Mylas meets a beautiful photographer at his brother’s church, and she offers to help him find Lizzie, he finds himself getting a little distracted from the investigation. Well, maybe, more than a little distracted.
Revisiting his past isn’t easy...
As Mylas is forced to spend time in his hometown, he begins to question his career choice, his rejection of Christianity, and his failed personal relationships.
Solving the mystery of Lizzie’s disappearance isn’t easy...
It gets even more complicated when Mylas learns Lizzie was researching an article for her campus newspaper about a judge with a secret past. Is the judge connected to Lizzie’s disappearance? Did Lizzie’s boyfriend play a role? What about Lizzie’s roommate?
So many suspects. So little time.
This is the first book in the Mylas Grey Mystery Series - a clean, suspenseful, fast-paced mystery, involving complex relationships, a fledgling romance, and a man’s search for happiness in all the wrong places. If you enjoy an engaging, multilayered mystery with a vulnerable, endearing hero - someone who will make you cry one minute and laugh the next - you’ll love this book!

Small town, Big Time
This is a whole new series and WOW.... Talk about a character that you can totally see being rebellious, and then growing up to be disciplined. But, boy, Does everyone wish they had that much on luck. I personally wouldn't have shut down the Law firm, I would have branched out to have 2 successful businesses and connected the 2 to keep everyone employed, but... that's why they call it what it is.... a creative story. Love it and the characters and can't wait to see what's next.

WOW!! What an awesome book. For a minute I though Myles, and Titus were brothers. I was filled with suspence for most of the last chapters wondering what the outcome of Lizzy would be. Such a great clean christian thriller by an awesome writer. The narrator did a fantastic job with each chapter, and character. The best part is gaining another believer.

Quite the mystery
This is quite the mystery of what happened to the Senator's daughter. One day present, the next day missing. Mylas has his hands full figuring out the mystery. The ending was a surprise to me. I've not listened to a male voice like Mr. Twitchell. It took a little while for me to get used to it. I am anxious to read the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author. This is my voluntary review.

Hooked to this genre and author's audiobooks :)
One Day Gone was such a fantastic listen! This is my first audiobook by this author and in this genre, and I'm pleased to say that I love both and I'll definitely keep looking for more work by Ms. Ehrlich as well as more Christian Suspense. // I loved the character of Mylas Grey and how he was far from perfect. He's living his career dream but he's also had to make some questionable choices in order to get the answers he needed for his investigation. His love for his family really shone through, and he's definitely blessed to have them. I liked how his background is one of the first things presented to the reader, and then, slowly, the secondary characters are introduced (from his work colleagues to his family and possible love interest). // As for the suspense/mystery, I think it was well done, and really enjoyed getting to see him in action (after having heard so much about how good he was in his job). I also liked that not everything fell neatly into place (making him figure everything out in one day), but rather he faced some challenges and with how to get the next piece of information. // In regards to faith, I liked how everything was presented, especially knowing that Mylas is an unbeliever from the beginning. Thus, I wouldn't call this book preachy at all, but that's my own opinion. // Finally, I'd like to say that the narrator did a great job with all the voices. While it took me a bit to get used to this book being in first-person POV, that only lasted a couple of minutes, and then I found myself enjoying this audiobook. I have no complaints in regards to the female voices or anything of the sort. He nailed every single one (seniors, angry judges, teenagers, middle-agers, you name it). // Overall, this is a great Christian Suspense listen/read, and I'll definitely be checking out more of this author and this series (can't wait to see how his work relationship with Charlie develops!). ~ 5 stars and completely recommended :)
