Publisher's summary

On the Rocks is a stand-alone, small-town country romance in the Becker Brothers Series.

Noah Becker is nothing but trouble.

That's what Mama told me when I was a kid, kicking his pew in church and giggling at the games we'd play. It's what the town said when his father died and the Becker brothers went wild. And it's on repeat in my mind the day I walk into the whiskey distillery where he works to buy a wedding gift for my fiancé.

He's trouble.

Dirty, sweaty, rude trouble.

No matter how many times I repeat it, I can't escape Noah in our small Tennessee town. And the more I run into him, the more he infuriates me.

Because he sees what no one else does.

He sees me - the real me.

The me I'm not sure I'm allowed to be.

I'm Ruby Grace Barnett, the mayor's daughter. Soon to be a politician's wife, just like Mama and Daddy always wanted. Soon to fulfill my family's legacy, just like I always knew I would.

Until the boy everyone warned me about makes me question everything, like whether the wedding I'm planning is one I even want.

Everyone says Noah Becker is nothing but trouble.

If only I had listened.

Perfect Country Romance

I adored Noah and Ruby Grace. On the Rocks was nice and sweet start to this series and I can't wait to get to know more of the Becker Brothers. Noah was amazing. I loved how he showed Ruby Grace exactly how a woman should be treated. He was so genuine, honest, and supportive of Ruby Grace's dreams and brought her so much happiness in a time of uncertainty. I honestly felt bad for Ruby Grace because Noah basically called her out on everything wrong with her engagement to her fiance Anthony. He made her so happy and made her feel like her dreams were a reality. I just really loved all the moments they spent together. Now I can't wait to read about the rest of these brothers.

This audiobook narration was a straight up 5 stars hands down. Laurie Catherine Winkel and David Vaughn were amazing. On the Rocks is promoted as a country romance and that's what I got. Loved each of their southern accents. It made this story that much more enjoyable as we get all things country in this book. I swear I could listen to them forever. David Vaughn gives a very sexy southern accent that will make you fall in love. Laurie Winkel's accent isn't as deep as David's, but has some softer tones to it. Excellent narration.

Loved it!

I really loved this audiobook written by Kandi Steiner, and the narrators were excellent at bringing Ruby Grace and Noah to life. I love the southern accents they used for the characters which made me feel as if I was in that small town in Tennessee. I love small town romances, and the brothers in this series is just going to be so much fun to read. I love how they take care of their mama after their daddy died. It’s just so precious.

The one thing I like about Ruby Grace is even though people see her as a spoiled rich girl, she has a heart of gold and cares for others. The fact that she volunteers at an old folks’ home says a lot about her character, and the relationship she has with her friend there just adds to the wonderful story.

This story reminds me of one of my favorite romantic comedies, “The Wedding Singer”. I have often wished that my life would’ve turned out like this instead of me marrying the wrong person.

I totally recommend this audiobook. I will listen to this one again in the future.

Small town romance

Kandi Steiner is one of my one-clicked authors because I love her famous emotional roller coaster that will leave you with all the feels. On the Rocks was on the lighter side of angst but it still has everything that I love – a little drama, lots of swoony moments, a small town in the country and a loving family. I absolutely love this intense, heartwarming and meaningful story.

The saddest thing in life must be when you have found the right person but at the wrong time. The connection and attraction between Noah and Ruby Grace was expected due to their age and status difference, but they felt so right together. The push and pull between them were intense and I loved the candid friendship that they have formed before their slow-burning and angsty romance. I admired Ruby Grace’s bravery and swooned over Noah’s selflessness and thoughtfulness.

I can always find a life lesson in Kandi’s story and this story is no different. I’ve learned from this story that when you truly love someone, you should help him/her flourish and soar in life. One can be and should be in love and be love at the same time without sacrificing one’s dream.

I’m in love with this sweet small-town romance and I love the Becker brothers. I cannot wait to return to the charming town of Stratford, Tennessee to see what Logan’s up to next. This is a wonderful start of a series and I would highly recommend it.

Laurie Catherine Winkel and David Vaughn brought the story to live.

heartwarming

I loved the push and pull between the two main characters. They deserved the happiness and the fiancee deserved what he got in the end too. I also loved the older woman Betty and her mettlesome ways too.

Sexy and lulling audiobook

The narrators for this book were spot on for the story. I’m sure I would have enjoyed the book had I read it myself, but hearing it through audio was like magic. The male voice made you feel like you had indulged in the several glasses of whiskey and were floating along beside the characters in the best way possible, experiencing all their joys and sorrows right by their side. Ruby Grace and Noah were an unlikely match, but their story was beautifully written with the heartache and balm you love in a good angsty book.

Beautifully written young love story

My favorite part of this book was that Noah showed her how to grow and be who she wanted to be on her own not tied to someone else.
