The thrilling conclusion of Robert W. Ross’ best selling Paradigm 2045 trilogy!
Bladerunner and a grievously wounded Charlotte Omandi have escaped from Drac’ath, while also having assured Earth’s survival, by gaining its admission into the Galactic Confederation.
Omandi and her crew regroup with their Phadex allies on the hidden refuge planet, Rulia. While there, a long awaited message is unlocked and delivered by Rulia’s lost founder, Talus. It sets off a string of unlikely events that brings Charlotte into a shadowy world of assassins. Meanwhile, Linnea Sorenson travels to the legendary planet Aluria, where strange magics are rumored to exist...magics that can only be unlocked by the young telepath.
Rejoin Charlotte and all your favorites as they seek new allies including the enigmatic Leas-ceyln Mott, an Eridani so feared, the Elevated would commit planetary genocide rather than allow her free reign.
Throughout it all, Omandi struggles to stay true to her ideals, even as the entire Galaxy seems bent on Humanity’s destruction. In the midst of such trials and tribulations, she must also contend with Thomas Rogers, the young half-human, half-Eridani, who has awoken something in Charlotte she never thought to find among the stars.
As the Paradigm 2045 saga hurtles toward its exciting conclusion, it becomes clear to everyone aboard the Bladerunner, that their ultimate success may rest with…Omandi’s Daemon.

Robert you create characters that are deep, fun, honorable, adventurous and humorous, Nick you breathe life into these characters with your consistently excellent narration. Neither of these tasks are easy especially hitting a bullseye time after time with every book of the series. Bravo, I can’t wait for the next one and I highly recommend to anyone looking for something much more than an average experience.
Just when you think it can’t get any better

However, all good stories must come to an end and Ross did a marvelous job doing just that. The characters were so real as always, and Podehl once again brought this story to life, making me feel as though I was with the Blade Runner crew at every moment.
Thank you both for such a beautiful send off, not many series can say they ended on a high note, but this one most certainly does.
Delightful story all around

Me and the author did share a few words with each other over Facebook messenger. I was surprised he took the time to send me a message because of something I mentioned in a post. In my post I said something to the effect that of course the atheist in the crew were from Russia and China lol. The author expressed how he was going for the realism which I understood but didn’t necessarily agree with.
Omandi’s character is a powerful one. An African woman of strong Catholic faith at the head of a crew embarking on the most important scientific grounded journey in human history. The author knew there were some strong conflicts there and navigated through them like a pro. He touched on these conflicts giving voice to them without diving in to deep. I would guess this was so the readers wouldn’t be turned off or get to uncomfortable.
For me, I could tell where the author was leaning towards. The phase “intelligent design” of the universe kept coming up and seemed to be the underlying theme. Tie this in with the faith of the leader, I couldn’t help but want to poke some holes in it. Example, Omandi’s faith is never really put on the spot especially where she comes from. When the aids epidemic was ravaging Africa, the Catholic Church said aids is bad but condoms are worse. Don’t need to put 2 and 2 together to know how that turned out. There was also a lot of Africans killed, including children practicing their native religion by other Africans because they believed they were doing witchcraft and they got okay to do so because of a book that said “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live”. A lot of work had to go into remedying that problem. These were some powerful moments in African history not to mention the how any why Catholicism/Christianity got to Africa in the first place. It wasn’t pretty and one of the first things it did was to violently take power away from African women. So whenever Omandi would talk about her faith in a positive light, considering who she is and where she comes from, I would cringe on the inside. But in a fantasy world, it is a prerequisite that we suspend belief.
Still, overall, I loved all 3 books, nothing but 5 stars from me for all 3 and look forward to the adventure continuing.
