Publisher's summary

Paige Asher likes her men the way she likes her coffee: hot, slightly sweet, and only to-go.

The hot friend-of-a-friend she had a scorching single night with was just about perfect - tall, rugged, with a sexy drawl...and on the road out of town by six AM the next morning. Long before her mom could start picking out wedding flowers.

But now she can’t stop thinking about the Louisiana boy. His texts make her smile and she suddenly has a craving for gumbo all the time...hot and spicy and far from home.

Mitch Landry had no idea Iowa would be so hospitable to a visitor. He knew the Midwest had a reputation for friendliness but his welcome gift - a sassy, sweet blond who is as no-strings-attached as he is - was a dream come true six months ago.

But why is he still texting her? And why did he jump at the chance to come back to Iowa? And why is he so annoyed by her phobia to commitment this time? And why is he pretty sure leaving Paige this time is going to be one of the hardest things he’s ever done?

Damn, is this what falling in love feels like?

Oh, fu...fudge.

* A cross-over between the Hot Cakes & Boys of the Bayou series

* A prequel to Boys of the Bayou, Book 6 (less)

Oh, Paige and Mitch!

I love this prequel to Paige and Mitch's full story. It is a kind of bridge between the Hot Cakes and Boys of the Bayou series but you don't have to read any of the other books but you should since they are so good. Lili Valente is wonderful as always.

Great book

I loved this novella by Erin Nicholas and Lili Valente did a wonderful job narrating it. Great introduction to Mitch and Paige’s story and looking forward to listening to their full story next in Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour.

Fun and steamy crossover story

This short novella was a fun, sexy romp that seamlessly blended the book worlds of the Hot Cakes series and the Boys of the Bayou. Paige and Mitch had a one-night stand six months ago and neither could stop thinking about each other. When their paths cross again, is it still just a fling or something more?

Lili Valente does the narration for this title and she has quickly become one of my favorites. She always puts so much fun and emotion into her characters and makes the story come alive for me.

Paige is full of sass and vinegar and she’s definitely a commitment-phobe. Her family is determined to meddle in her life and she hates it. Mitch is almost too good to be true. He’s gorgeous, kind and caring and selflessly offers to help wherever it is needed.

The heat between these two leaps off the pages. They are HOT!! Watching them try to navigate their feelings and try to sidestep all the town gossips is so much fun. Oh, Fudge was ooey, gooey, deliciousness and I cannot wait for Paige and Mitch’s full story in Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat.

Paige and Mitch are awesome.

You take one yoga instructor/ cat lover/ and one hometown handyman and yeah.. you have one great fun listen. It also helps that the Boys from the Bayou make their presence known.

Fudging Wonderful!

This prequel novella for Paige and Mitch’s story by Erin Nicholas is the best kind of chick lit. Although all the titles and stories in Hot Cakes have had wit and humor, I think this is one of my very favorites. Paige is so relatable with her sass and her meddling family. You can tell they really want the best for her, despite being (a little) overbearing. She knows who she is and what she wants - a common theme in Erin Nicholas’s heroines that I adore. Mitch is the opposite to Paige in his laid back nature. I love his steadiness - it really helps ground Paige and give her a sense of home. Their meet cute at the beginning of the novella is adorable. The steamy scenes are organic and fun. All in all, it was a wonderful preview, with a fantastic narrator in Lili Valente. I highly enjoyed this as a prequel to their 4 weddings and a swamp boat tour novel and recommend this to any readers who love a fun, sassy story.

A Great Insert in A Great Series

Oh Fudge kind of inserts itself into the Hot Cakes series. It follows the lives of Paige and Mitch. A little Iowa and Louisiana coming together. What started out as a no-strings, lets-have-some-fun relationship soon became more. It was super sweet, super funny and oh, so super yummy! I love the Hot Cakes series and Erin Nicholas work. I can't wait to continue on to Erin's books set in the Big Easy.

Mitch and Paige - yes!

Mitch is from Autre, Louisiana, a tiny town on the bayou where he does general repair and anything else his family needs for the swamp boat tour company owned by his cousins. Mitch likes being behind the scenes taking care of things and he is not interested in forever despite the efforts of the girls in his home town. Paige owns a yoga studio/cat adoption center cafe in small town Appleby, Iowa. Paige is also not interested in forever despite her interfering family and being proposed to five times. Six months ago Mitch and Paige had a one night stand while he was in Iowa with his cousin and his cousin’s fiancée and now Mitch is coming back into town and plans to visit Paige. The story has hilarity, steamy scenes, sweet moments, and small town goodness. It is the perfect little love tale that begins Mitch and Paige’s journey towards their HEA as well as let’s us see how the other Sweet Cakes couples are doing. Mitch and Paige’s story is not just a fun and sexy novella in the Sweet Cakes series, it is also a cross over to Erin Nicholas’ Boys of the Bayou series (book 6). The book ends on a HFN and I cannot wait to read the rest of their HEA journey and visit all the characters from the bayou. An added plus is Lili Valente’s narration of this book! It kicks the story up a notch - especially her Louisiana drawl for Mitch - perfect.

A Pure Delight!!

This novella was a pure delight!! This clever read brings together two of my favorite series by this author, Hot Cakes and Boys Of The Bayou. If you have read these series both Paige and Mitch will be familiar to you and if not, well, WHY NOT??!! Listen to me, you need to get on that ASAP!! These romances are smart, funny, sweet, emotional and steamy. Add in the allure of small town charm, the strong bonds of family & friendship and a healthy dose of quirkiness and you have yourself characters and places that will steal your heart and make you long to live there (or at least visit as often as you can via new releases). Do keep in mind though that even if this book was super fun and heart melting it will leave you wanting and waiting for this couple's story to continue in the Four Weddings and A Swamp Boat Tour book. I myself adored this wonderful tale that gave me all the feels and left me smiling! Single narration on this book and I found the narrator's voice pleasing and easy to listen to.

Two worlds coming together in one phenomenal book.

Wow. I love Oh, Fudge by Erin Nicholas. What's better than a story by Erin Nicholas? Well two stories by Erin Nicholas. In Oh,Fudge that's exactly what we get. The world of Appleby meets the world of Autre. In Oh, Fudge we get the Hotcakes series mixed in with Boys of the Bayou series. To me that equals a recipe of sweetness with spicy mixed in. If you haven't read the Hot Cake's series and the Boy's of the Bayou series all I can say is you don't know what you're missing. My advice is if you haven't read either series is GET TO IT!!! Start reading because these series are sweet and steamy. Add in heartwarming and funny with a sense of belonging to equal perfection.

In Oh, Fudge we get Mitch and Paige's story. What a story it is. Steamy meets sweet meets spicy. The perfect recipe for a great listen.
Mitch brings out a side of Paige that is more relaxed and open. The chemistry they have is undeniable. Oh and we get more Ellie from Boys of the Bayou. Ellie just makes me laugh. She's the best. I really love the journey we as the audience get to take with Paige and Mitch. I love that they would do anything to be together. I really felt as if I were a part of their story. I love how clear Lili Valente spoke. As she read the story I felt as if we were two people talking and not me listening. Listening to Oh, Fudge made my day easier. I could do what I needed and cook while being able to hear a book. Let me just say I'm hungry for Fudge.
I found myself laughing and having some serious heart swooning moments. I was captivated. I was left smiling and anxious to hear more about Paige and Mitch which we get in Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour.
