Resumen del Editor

As far as flings go, single dad Gabe Trahan is pretty sure that Addison Sloan is his best bet. Once a month, Addison comes to New Orleans and then…It. Is. On. Until Addison returns to New York, it’s just hot, happily-no-strings-attached sex. And beignets. And jazz. But lately for Gabe, it isn’t nearly enough.

Sure, maybe Addison’s gotten a bit hooked on Gabe. After all, who can resist a guy who’s so sexy, so charming, and so…available? But maybe he’s too available for her right now. Addison’s just moved to New Orleans, and relationships are definitely off the table. Besides, guys always bail when they learn her secret: she’s a single mom.

Only Gabe’s not running. Worse, he’s thrilled. But Addison never signed up for ever-after romance, and Gabe won’t settle for anything less. Now it’s a battle of wills - and when it comes to the woman he’s falling for, Gabe isn’t above playing a little dirty.

Great story!

I truly enjoyed listening to Going Down Easy, the storyline is fun, sexy and left me with a smile. the hero of the story is so loveable and just wants to be loved by the heroine who is very leary of getting into a relationship especially one with kids even though she has a young daughter herself. This story had the perfect amount of angst and had me glued to the book from beginning to end.

The narrator did a great job at portraying each character, his southern accent for New Orleans was perfect. I will definitely be looking at other books he has narrated for.

Overall Going Down Easy is a great book with a hero who loves to talk sexy to the heroine and loves to show her through action even more. The hero and heroine are perfect for each other and you can't help but root for them to get the HEA they both deserve. I highly recommend this fun, sexy read to all romance lovers!

Single Parents together

Gabe and Addison meet and have a once a month weekend affair in New Orleans then Addison travels back to New York City. What happens when Addison moves to New Orleans and they can see each other more than that once a month? They find out things about each other like both are single parents. Addison doesn't want any help raising her daughter and Gabe has support and wants more support from Addison. Gabe anonymously invites Addison to a single parents club where she meets other single parents and finds out that it is nice to have support. The road to happiness isn't without it's bumps but it's wonderful to see their relationship and their children's relationship develop. I loved the narration by Ryan West! This is the first time I've heard him and I hope it isn't the last! Erin Nicholas has written a great start to this new series and I can't wait for the next book!

Sweet with no depth

This is a sweet romance that could have been much better. We started off knowing about Addison’s job, and her past leaving me to believe that would come into play later. That never developed. The entire plot revolved around the H/h relationship with non of the secondary plot interfering. There was hardly any tension or drama or mystery to hold interest. All in all this is a cute, sweet with a little hot sex book.

Lots of Kid Talk ❤️🐊🔦💙

Even though this is a romance between Gabe and Addison, it’s also a story of building a relationship with kids an creating a forever family.

I liked how hot they were, and how determined Gabe was to build more. Set in New Orleans, it had a fun cast of characters.

There is A LOT of development with the kids, so that can be tiresome, but it was fun to watch these two single parents adjust their lives to accommodate two more very different people into each other’s lives.

The narrator does a good job. Easy to listen to.

Good Story

The narrator did a good job. I really enjoyed Gabe and Addison and their storyline. I'm not usually a big fan of kids in books but I really enjoyed them as secondary characters.

Not Always Easy in The Big Easy

Overall, not a bad start to a new series! I like the single parent theme. I like that the main characters aren't too young. I like that they are in a single parent support group with varied members of all ages, genders and incomes. Of course, love wins in the end and the characters get their happy ending but not without having their hang ups to deal with first. Standard romance story protocols. There is sex too, of course. I skip if there's more than one or two of those scenes cause it's just boring to listen to after that. My one big problem with this story was the female lead- she's the mom to 5 yr old Stella. Right from the beginning when we find out she has a daughter, she complains about having her. How she didn't plan it but wouldn't have an abortion, the father was a deadbeat, she didn't have any support, how Stella was always there and she never had any personal time. As if that wasn't enough, she is pretty rude about Gabe having a son and how she has no interest in any more kids. Of course after behaving this way, she eventually starts changing her mind and then they spend all their time together as a family. So kind of wishy washy. It just doesn't present very well to the reader. Anyone who is a parent has doubts, fears, challenges. It's normal. I'm sure each person has questioned whether they should have become a parent at all at some point. But by the female character's behavior, it sounds more like regret all the time. Like she doesn't want to be bothered so she raises Stella to be as independent as possible. Ryan West did a superb narrating job.

Can a One-Night Stand Be Something More?

Gabe and Addison’s story continues in Going Down Easy. In the beginning there were fireworks during the one-night fling, when Addison came to town for work. Only it turns out that it was not just one weekend. Every time Addison comes to town she hooks up with Gabe. But she doesn’t want a relationship.

Elena has been talking to Gabe and Logan about restoring their historical tavern for several months. They finally decided to go forward with the project. When Gabe goes to the Elena’s office, he runs into Addison. It is her first day at her new job in New Orleans. She’s no longer in New York. Can this be the start of something more for them? Gabe wants that, but Addison is leery that anyone would stick around for her. She has a secret; she has a 5 year-old daughter. Turns out that Gabe also has a secret of his own.

Addison does not really have a support system for her family. Gabe has a strong support system in raising his son. I loved the interaction of the kids and their parents. I really enjoyed the single parents support group and their meetings. They offer great advice as Gabe and Addison work towards an HEA.

Great narration by Ryan West.

it takes two

Gabe and Addison couldn't be more real without jumping off the page. Erin Nicholas spun a web that pulled me in and transported me. This story of two single parents wading through life and looking for that shining star is absolutely phenomenal. Ryan West, no words can describe the emotions he poured into this book and into me.

🥰 awww

This was really cute. So on point for single parenting. My youngest is over 30 now and I was a single parent since she was 3. It was hard but worth it.
Not a fast moving angst ridden story. Well narrated and written. A nice change of pace from alien mates, motorcycles, mafia, sports/rock star…
