Engaging and interesting listen

I listened to this book over the course of three days as I was doing tedious, interior painting. Listening to the narrator’s performance really helped my work time fly by. I found the story compelling and interesting on several levels: family of origin, childhood trauma, motherhood, relationships and mental health. The narrator’s use of different and distinct first person voices really drew me into the story and held my attention. I found myself hurrying back to my task so that I could find out what was happening with each of these characters. Count me pleased that the story had enough twists and red herrings that I was even surprised by the turn of events in the ending.
