Publisher's Summary

At 37, writer/musician Mishka Shubaly thought his life was going great. He had a beautiful new girlfriend and sudden prosperity as an author. But when he adopts an orphaned infant mouse, his world is turned on its head. The mouse comes to symbolize everything left unresolved in his life - his relationship with his divorced parents, his fear of family and commitment, and his inability to feel true happiness and love. By turns hilarious and moving, Mishka Shubaly's latest Kindle Single captures the journey we all take in life - from being loved, to giving love.

This man is amazing.

I was led to these short stories by listening to Mishka Shaboly's full length book "I swear I'll make it up to you." He did not disappoint. I can totally be away from my world when listening to his stories. I highly recommend, if you like the shorts, that you immediately purchase his full length book. It is one of the best real story of a boy (and then a mans) journey through the hell of addiction and then through to the other side that I have ever read. Being an addictions professional, a recovering addict, and a voracious reader I can definitely say that I have read most of them. More more more! MISHKA PLEASE WRITE MORE.

Wondrously "light"....

Another great listen. Shubaly is an unorthodox poet for our generation. Having the author read his prose gives the appropriate weight to his words.

Thumbs up for my second "Mishka"

Funny and poignant, Of Mice and Me was also a very fast read. The author is a great storyteller. This won't be my last "Mishka."

Fun and learned

Mischka spins a fine, unpretentious tale, no mouse intended. Punchy in delivery _jabbing at our sensitivities, and yet sweet to tears, in turns, he embarks on self discovery because "everything has a reason." A baby mouse is reason enough to teach of hidden self loathing and u condiyional love. Long live Mishkalito!

Heartbreaking and beautifully written.

Read this book, and all of Mishka Shubaly’s books. He’s one of my favourite writers and everything he puts out there I devour. This is a marvellous little story about parenthood, selflessness, and pain.
