Great read/listen
Mishka's literary voice and self-deprecation help him weed through some of the finer points in his troubled youth. This is all accented by his scruffy vocal commentary. Each story is a great read/listen on its own, while the collection paints a broad picture of Mishka's growth. His newest book "I swear I'll make it up to you" is another wonderfully told addition for any fan of his work. Enjoy!

Epic story telling

Mishka Shubaly ROCKS!!
I have always thought of myself as less-than, incapable, not pretty or interesting enough, and as someone who just doesn't have what it takes. I live in a bubble and am even estranged from myself at times. Life just doesn't feel real. I relate to Mishka so well that although we have never met, I think of him as a brother in a parallel universe. His writing resonates with me exponentially more than most and I love to read. In fact, I carry around a new phrase that is always in the back of my mind and I am not quite sure when it originated. On the rare occasion when I experience a small victory or have a vision of success and make it happen, I chuckle silently think to myself, "You go, Mishka!" Outstanding!
I'm so thrilled I took a chance on this book! Mr. Sbubaly is a fantastic writer and even better narrator. These stories took me on an emotional rollercoaster and actually made me cheer out loud with tears in my eyes, twice! I cannot wait to read/listen to more of Mishka Shubaly!

Good storyteller...
Mishka is a good dude...by the end of these stories you really feel like you know him, want to give him a hug, and a shower perhaps. And a sandwish, and a new tshirt....

wanted to hear about running
Lots of boring content, like talking objectifyingly about women or trying to funnily talk about a deadly car crash, that I was not expecting.

Like watching a snake eat a live frog
Wildly graphic. Using JC‘s name repeatedly was offputting. Still he’s a phenomenal storyteller and I’m glad he got sober.
