Publisher's summary

What started out as a couple of blog posts blossomed into a following of over 1,000,000 people - who have all read and been touched by Mowry’s stories. The most extraordinary thing he found when writing about his experiences is that the most common comment about his work is “OMG that’s me. You are telling my story. I don’t feel so alone now".

Living with mental illness is hard, but it’s especially difficult when dealing with more than one condition at the same time. Many books about coping with mental illness focus on one disorder, such as anxiety, panic attacks, or depression. Because Dave Mowry didn’t see any that dealt with his situation of living with multiple disorders simultaneously, he decided to write about it himself.

OMG That’s Me! is sometimes funny, often poignant, but always deeply honest, open, and personal. Mowry's stories let others know there is help and there is hope, and that they too can recover and live a full life. This audiobook is a must listen for family members and friends who will gain true insight into the experiences of loved ones living with a mental illness. This audiobook is a must listen for mental health professionals who will better understand the symptoms faced by their patients. And ordinary people will see the strength, resilience, and beauty of people that will shatter the stigma surrounding mental illness.

wow

I am Bipolar, and this is such an amazing book to read that shares the ins and the outs. of what living with the illness looks like. Bipolar. in general, it seems like a mystery Disease on some level. I'm thankful for that. Because it means that I can do my own research and learn how the disease affects me. This book is a great foundation to start with because there are so many different things that are explained, so many different facets of the illness. And then on top of that, there's a question-and-answer portion where people are recounting. their views or their experiences listening to what is said and how they relate to it. This is a book that needs to be shared over and over and over. And I forgot what I'm very glad that I found it.

Amazing Read!!!!!

This is my first book about mental health and truly I have to say.....OMG it's me!!!!! I have GAD, OCD and depression and I relate to everything in this book. I recently started therapy and will definitely discuss this book with my therapist. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is feeling alone and misunderstood. I also recommend this to family and friends of BPD sufferers.

YUP, Thats me too

This was an incredibly accurate description of how I feel. It really explains the struggles and pain that we deal with daily. It is comforting to know that there are actually people out there who understand what it is like. I plan to show this book to my husband in hopes that it will help our marriage as I am incredibly difficult to live with and do not know how to accurately and calmly express myself.
I really enjoyed this book. The narration is excellent aside from the fact that there are parts that seem to repeat. I still definitely recommend this book.

this is literally me

I’m 16 years old, and I have just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Reading this book has made me feel less alone in my experience.
I like the fact that this book is a bunch of blog posts; that made it really simple and refreshing to listen to. It provides good advice for people with BP and other mental health conditions to lead successful lives, and it includes the personal experiences of others.
I would definitely recommend this book to others with BP and their family and friends. This book allows you to get a better understanding for what it’s like for people with these mental illnesses, and how to share support.
This book doesn’t include much information about the research regarding the illness itself, or what causes it. I would recommend “The Bipolar Disorder Survival Guide: What You and Your Family Need to Know” if you want to know about that.
Overall, this book is very informative, relatable, and eye-opening. Def a 10/10 for me.
