Nurse Alissa vs. the Zombies
I really enjoyed this short story about a nurse trying to survive the first days of the zombie apocalypse. The story is well written by Scott M. Baker and Naomi Rose-Mock did a good job narrating. I look forward to the next book in this series being available by Audible! I am going to re-listen now because I did like it so much!

Awesome!
I loved this audiobook. it was different than most zombie apocalypse stories. The story was super smooth from beginning to end and there was a lot of knowledge and description as well as action based on Alyssa and things she did as a nurse, which was awesome. very believable storyline and a surprisingly new storyline compared to others stories I've listened to lately. my new favorite book. my only criticism is that I wished it were longer!

Nurse Alissa
I read a lot of zompoc books, so I am always looking for something fresh and different. This book fulfills that on several levels.
First of all, every fan of this genre wonders what would be the worst place to try to survive a zompoc. After reading this book, I think a hospital would be one of the worst! Alissa is a nurse working in a Boston hospital when an outbreak hits and people start turning into monsters in the ER. Alissa has to make the tough decision of whether to try to save the patients or herself. I enjoyed her internal dilemma as she tries to do what it right.
It's also nice to have a strong female character who is capable of taking care of herself in a tough situation. And, I loved the inclusion of her cat, Archer! Anytime there is a pet involved, the book goes up my estimation. The story is fast-paced, the characters are well-written and there is plenty of zombie encounters to satisfy the diehard fan. The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to follow Alissa and friends as they try to survive.
The narrator did a good job with her different accents and voices and her performance added a lot to the book. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Alissa Rocks!
I have been reading A LOT of zombie apocalypse novels recently, and there is always the risk of getting bored when doing a long deep dive into a specific genre. I do not know if I have just been lucky, or if all the best Zpoc authors hang out together. I joined a Facebook group of Zpoc authors and I have recently read series by Merrill David, Javan Bonds, and Peter Meredith. I was fully prepared for a slight let down as I continued to wade my way through all the group's author's . I mean they can't all be amazing right? Well, maybe they can. Scott M Baker's Nurse Alissa vs the Zombies blew me away. This book was impossible to put down. If I wasn't so old I honestly would have stayed up all night and tried get through it in one day. I am glad I didn't though because I was really sad when it came to an end. Nurse Alissa is one of my new favorite zombie apocalypse characters, and if you read this genre then you know there is a lot of stiff competition out there. Baker paints a bleak, horrifying, exciting, and somehow believable picture of the end of life as we know it. Alissa is a strong yet not cliche "super human" survivor that is thrilling and fun to follow as she slogs through the devastation with never a dull moment to be found. This series has jumped up to the top of my read next list and I cannot wait to see where this story takes me next.

Great story. Narration could use a little tweak.
I understand that not everyone will know how to pronounce names of towns but do a little research. I really liked the story but the narrator sounded like it was the first time reading the book. Good voice , just needs some work and please don't try to do a Boston accent if you don't know it. Being from the area, it just grates on me. I'll keep listening though because I like the story and the Author.

Non Stop Action
From beginning of the book poor Nurse Alissa is thrown into the action. I felt so anxious while reading this book, in a good way. I keep wondering when she would catch a break and get a breather!! The book was very exciting to read and the story line is a great one. I can't wait to read what will happen next. Although I am scared by the Author's note about his characters because we hate to lose the ones we love!
Naomi Rose-Mock did an excellent job narrating and her accents were spot on.

Pleasantly surprised
I got this audio book in exchange for a review, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love zomboc with a passion having listened to many different authors and books, and it's always with a sense of trepidation that I start a new author, wondering what the book/narrator will be like. I wasn't disappointed at all, except when it finished rather abruptly, more please, Scott M Baker. The action was gory and fast paced, just how I love it, with no moody teens weeping and wailing. The narration was excellent.
