Publisher's summary

Learn to live and date for more than marriage.

Many of you grew up assuming that marriage would meet all of your needs and unlock God's purposes for you. But God has far more planned for you than your future marriage. Not Yet Married is not about waiting quietly in the corner of the world for God to bring you "the one" but about inspiring you to live and date for more now.

If you follow Jesus, the search for a spouse is no longer a pursuit of perfection but a mutually flawed pursuit of Christ. He will likely write a love story for you different from the one you would have written for yourself, but that's because he loves you and knows how to write a better story. Trust him, and he will help you find real hope, happiness, and purpose in your not-yet-married life.

Keep Listening! It gets better ... to awesome!

I thought that the book started out slow, boring, and sounding a lot like a "youth group pep talk." It seemed like the author was trying to make the book applicable to as wide of audience as possible, which seemed to exclude those singles who are earnestly seeking God's will for their lives, working diligently, actively involved in their churches, and purposely requesting the advice of their family and godly friends. But that was just the introduction. Once the author dug into the subject, it was an awesome read! It was then VERY applicable to godly singles who are doing all the aforementioned virtuous activities, to spur them on to greater godliness.

Even though I have been married for many years, I benefited and learned from the book, and I now know a reference for single friends and relatives that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

A very refreshing and blessed read!

This book has really blessed me in regards to my singleness. I have really enjoyed the perspective of maximizing our singles for God's Glory, while trusting in God's guidance and recognizing He alone is enough!

One of the best books on singleness

This book beautifully represents the Gospel with clarity and truth, and has been most encouraging. It is highly recommended for every Christian, married or unmarried.

Great book!

Only thing I didn’t like is- the author talked like he was so old to get married (his late 20s). I’m 39 and still not married. I will put in the work to find a wife, or perhaps marry one I may already have found, and this gave some great advice. I really liked the author’s use of Scripture verses to back up what he was saying, and it flowed very nicely. I recommend it!

Good for new Christians and matures ones alike.

This book brings a good perspective on single life and I love how encouraging it is to live your life for the only one who matters. It's inspiring to make you want to do more with your life than wait to get married.
Only con I had with this is that does tend to be a bit repetitive at times and can be a little preachy. However, it's repeating the right sort of thing and preaching about God. So I find it easier to overlook.

Adequate for an audio book 6 hours long

The reading was flat... The reader seemed to put effort but I couldn't tell where a chapter started or if there was any emphasis made by the writer. The author seems to be nagging or lecturing even... I like how he provided himself as an example
