I have been a fan of the Hot in the City series from the beginning. Not just friends by T. Gephart did not disappoint.
Leighton (Jared) and Presley have been around each other for years because he is her brother's best friend and co-worker. A stalker ex-boyfriend leads to a night that they can't ignore. That's standard romancelandia, but what I loved is T. Gephart did an amazing job of overlaying Not Just Friends to the previous book, One Click Love.
This story is not a sequel or cliffhanger but a view from a different lens.

Jared and Presley

Presley is Jared’s best friend’s sister and should be off limits but he can’t deny their chemistry when she’s around. After hooking up, he realizes it was a mistake and freaks out because of how close he is to her family and doesn’t want the relationship to change. Presley is a firecracker who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it and she wants Jared. I enjoyed seeing the characters work through their issues and seeing their relationship develop. Presley is a great character, strong and confident and not afraid to go after what she wants. She complimented Jared perfectly.
The narrators were phenomenal. Jacob Morgan is a long time favorite. Vanessa Edwin is absolutely amazing. She gives a different voice to each character. She is extremely talented.

Another favorite in this series!

Wow! Did I love this one! The story is adventurous and easily kept me entertained. Best friends sister is a favorite trope of mine. I loved both Leighton and Presley! They are fun, sexy and know what they want. I loved Presley’s work persona! Such a strong female and not afraid to show it. Leighton and Tibbs have such a wonderful relationship that I could see the problem when Stubbs gives the “Hands Off” about Presley.

My absolute favorite secondary is “B”. He runs security at the bar. His straight laced face rivals his sarcastic humor. I loved all the names he came up with for Leighton. His scenes always made me smile. It’s always great to see characters from Books 1 &2. Plus a few new boys at the station

I did listen to this on audio. The narration did a good job. I am kinda hoping there are more in this series.

Hot! Liked this more than the first book but book 2 is my favey 🥰 A secret friends with benefits to lovers 🔥🔥🔥 I almost thought the H had DID too 😅 I love it when characters from previous books are active throughout the series and not forgotten 👍

Jacob Morgan again AMAZING!!!

it was a really good book! Jacob Morgan again was truly incredible! and my only regret is I wish somebody would write a romance novel where the female character is not drop dead gorgeous blah blah blah and we have a story about an average person not someone that women have to attain perfection!
