"A strong installment to a delightfully steamy series." ~Library Journal

Lost...

Lovesick has never been in my vocabulary, but now that MacClain Stone has entered my world, I’m practically dying of heartache. And there’s nobody to blame but myself. But his brushoff has made me never want to see his sexy, smug face again. When a stalker forces me from my home and lands me on Mac’s front door - and into the warmth of his bed - I can’t avoid the truth any longer. I’m in love with him. I need him. I’m lost without him...

Found...

What the hell was I thinking, falling in love with a stubborn spitfire like Taylor Mathews? For the first time in my life, a woman is driving me insane with need. If I can win her back, I vow to never let her out of my sight again.

Though it takes the threat of a maniac to drive her into my arms, I’m not letting opportunity pass me by, and everyone needs to learn this woman is mine - especially the woman herself. Without each other, we’re nothing. But together... We’re no longer lost.

Female Narrator Blows It

This is pretty much for the series. I really enjoyed the series and the stories of the Stone family. I wish I could re-listen with a different female so I could get more lost in the story. I'm disappointed that the female narrator left me with such a negative impression that it takes away from the overall story. Many times I was close to giving up because I couldn't take it anymore but the story kept me going. Why she felt the need to whisper ... and it seemed to get worse as the series went on ... I will never know. Surely that isn't a normal voice for her. Jason Clarke is awesome and saves this read. Maybe it says something when the reviews are more about the narrator and less about the book.

Loved book hated Female narrator

Female narrator sounds like she is whispering most of the book. Drove me crazy. Please don’t use her for more books.

Big dissapointment, SORRY!!

I must say that I've enjoyed the Secrets of Stone series a lot. True, the male characters are Alpha, controlling men, but they are also vulnerable at times and very passionate about their women. Each is unique in his own way. But this last book is a disappointment. I never really could figure Mac out. Maybe because book 8 is missing?! It's like something isn't all there. And the narration....awful! The worse!! Chapter 7, by Devon Grace, terrible, I really lost my patience! Had to stop listening so many times. All their passion went sour! When D.G. narrates Taylor she comes across as one character, and Mac comes across as a wimp, especially with the whispering and slow talking. When J.C. narrates the two of them, they each are different. Chapter 4 is the only one that you really feel Mac, his character, his "crazy", his passion.
Also the book ended abruptly!! Why wasn't John caught? What happens? Very strange, as if the writers lost their patience...
I am also curious about Andrea? Colin? Why did Colin and Margaux go to Chicago? Or is there another book in store?
Too disappointing an ending!!

Female narrator

Omg! What a horrible experience with the female narrator. I missed most of those chapters. Felt like I was on a gulf tournament with her. All her whisper and lack of emotions. Horrible.

They can’t deny what’s meant to be.

This story, this consumed me from the beginning, the authors weaved their words perfectly and created an amazing plot that will pull at your heart strings, have you on the edge of your seat, and have you needing cold shower. The passion, suspense and heat in this book is off the charts.
And Jason Clarke as Mac? WOAH.

he’s a favourite of mine and he did an unbelievably outstanding job with this book, I thought he was pure genius with the last 8 books in the series, but book 9? Wow. He’s gone above and beyond and really bought every side of Mac out, in every perfect way, and this would probably have to be my favourite book of all that he’s narrated. I honesty didn’t think he could get any better, but he’s gone and proved me from.

#Chapter4 ;)

love the series, bad female narrator

Was very invested on the storyline. Will love to hear all loose ends tied on a new book. The female narration is terrible, stop whispering. I will re-listen to the whole 9 books and then some if you re record it with a different female

Why?????

Why did the female narration always read in a whisper. It was hard to hear at times.

I just couldn’t do it…

I’ve really enjoyed this series…until Taylor. I get the overcoming personal struggle in most of the characters in this series, but Taylor just can’t seem to get over herself at all. By the end of book one for this couple I was tired of her derogatory nicknames for Mac. In this book I couldn’t get past ch. 1. She just won’t let up on blaming Mac for everything whenever they interact so I gave up. J. Clarke did a great performance as always, but the female narrator needs to stop whispering.

Love the way this ended

Wonderful finale with this book. I’m glad Taylor calmed down and jumped in with both feet. I loved Mac and I am so happy he stood strong

UNBELIEVABLE

Spoiler alert on last book!!!!!
After listening to all 9 books in this series, the final book ends this series in a cliffhanger with important questions to the story line left completely unanswered.
Why end the other couple's stories with HEA but then leave Taylor's with so many unanswered questions...
I have to agree with the other reviewers about the female narrator, Devon Grace....IS THE WOMAN NOT CAPABLE OF SPEAKING IN A NORMAL VOICE ONLY WHISPERS????? Jason Clarke is the only reason I was able to keep listening to this series. While the whispering voice was needed in some situations, the female narrator whispered her every word.
Overall, it is a good series with the exception of how the last book ended and especially having to listen to the constant whispering of the female narrator. I will not listen to another book if the book uses this female narrator!!!!!
