Truly enjoy this series. It has brought me much delight to see all the characters unfold and interact. Quite entertaining story lines and narrations.

JUST FINISHED BOOK 1…

I enjoyed Book One of this boxed set (will be starting Book Two in a few minutes).

As always, I really enjoyed the story by Deanna Garrett; however, I found the character of Selene SOOOOO ANNOYING! It wasn’t her snarkiness that bothered me — it was her VOICE! Considering Selene is one of two of the main characters, she really grated on my nerves. I hope she is less prominently featured in the next two books…

I did like the character of Cora. Her voice was great — Amanda Ranconi’s normal voice. Ms. Ronconi is THE voice of all the main characters in Ms. Garrett’s books, and she’s TERRIFIC!

Despite my dislike of Selene’s character voice, I’m going to listen to Book Two. I would recommend this book to others.



ADDENDUM: Selene is every bit as annoying in Book 2 as she was in Book 3 (but as always, the story itself was EXCELLENT).

Booo 9 Mystic Meow?

Perfect but I'm reporting that the title of Mystic Meow says "Booo" 9 Mystic Meow instead of Book 9 Mystic Meow

funny characters, decent suspense and plot. excellent wedding fiasco

I really appreciate a fun mystery with no need for over the top violence to keep the plot going. it's refreshing to find a mystery series that not only doesn't turn my stomach, but also makes me laugh. it took me a minute to warm up to the narrator, but she is very talented and is especially good at delivering Selene's sarcastic comments.
