Publisher's Summary

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Nights at Seaside by Addison Cole is the "sweet edition" of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Nights. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In Nights at Seaside...Sky Lacroux has finally realized her dream and opened her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She’s happy as can be, preparing the shop for its grand opening and renting a cottage in the Seaside community while renovations to her new apartment are being completed. The only thing missing is the one thing she longs for, and has no control over - love.

Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, plays his guitar at a local bar to escape the painful reality of his father’s deteriorating health and a recent health warning of his own. But when he spots a stunning brunette across the room, escaping reality goes out the window, and the beautiful woman becomes the focus of his next song - and maybe even the rest of his life.

When Sawyer walks into Sky’s tattoo shop and sees the woman from the bar - Sky - the chemistry between them is instant. Sawyer is everything Sky could ever hope for in a man. He’s honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile - but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle - only the battle she thinks he’s waging isn’t the one that threatens to tear them apart.

All Sweet with Heat novels are written to stand alone, so dive right in!

Not your Stereotypical Love Story

Sky is not your stereotypical tattoo artist so would you expect her to do stereotypical work or to fall in love with the stereotypical biker dude? Of course not. This sweet with heat version of Sky's and Sawyers love story gives you a peek into the seaside sisterhood while making it very clear that this story is about Sky and her falling in love with her hunky, but charismatic, boxer Sawyer. During this entire reading of the story I continued to think back to when I first read the book and was reminded of how much non-stereotypical love stories can catch you and latch onto your heart. I will listen to this one on more than a few occasions.

Sky & Sawyer

The P-town poet is making Sky feel all sorts of emotion. Little does she know that she is about to meet and fall in love with him. Sawyer is in a rough life stage with an ailing parent and health issues. This story is one of choices, kindness and HEAs. The narrator is not as exciting as she could be BUT the story is one you don’t want to miss.....no matter how you read/listen to it.

Soulmates

Sky Lacroux and Sawyer Bass had to have been put on this Earth for each other. They clicked from the start. Their chemistry is off the charts, and they are wonderful together, except, he is a boxer, and she can't stand the idea of hurting anyone, or anything. Sky owns her own tatoo shop, loves poetry, and has a very big heart. Sawyer might be a boxer, but he also plays the guitar, writes his own music, and the poetic words that come from his mouth will just put a squeeze on your own heart, and wish he was saying them to you. Along with this sweet, with heat, story of love, Addison Cole also does a great job bringing in the reality of Parkinson's Disease that his father has due to his time in the military, and the dangers that boxers face due to all the concussions that they have, as a result of their career. Even though there are some parts of the book that will bring on the tears, the romance and love between Sky and Sawyer is so wonderful. There are also lots of laughter, when you have the fun, sassy seaside girls. The audiobook is narrated by Melissa Moran, who does such a great job bringing Addison's characters to live. I highly recommend it.

While out playing his guitar at a local bar just to get away from the stress of life, Sawyer spot a gorgeous woman across the room. When these two meet there is definitely some undeniable chemistry. I absolutely loved this great story. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Romantic enjoyable story

Sky and Sawyer were an amazing couple from the start. Their chemistry was of the charts and you could tell that they were made for each other. Just like any relationship they have to work through issues, but as with true soul mates they find a way to compromise to have a life together. It’s a emotional romantic story you shouldn’t miss! The narrator was the perfect pick for this story. She brings the characters to life and makes it enjoyable to listen to the story.

"Set it free lovely. Come to me"

Nights at Seaside is written by Addison Cole and centers on a group of friends whose lives are intertwined in love and friendship. This book focuses on Sky Lacroux who owns a tattoo shop called Inky Skies. Sky is an independent young woman with a deep emotional soul who loves poetry and living her own life.

Her older brothers and her best friend, Blue keep a close watch over her which is often stifling to her. When she meets Sawyer Bass, those protective urges come out in force as Sawyer is a well-known boxer and they are concerned that she cannot handle what he does in the boxing ring. They are attracted to each other on a physical level at first but the more time they spend together, they realize they have a much deeper connection in their souls. As such, Sky struggles to reconcile the man she knows who loves poetry and music with the man who will put on gloves and step into the ring to fight.

Sawyer has his reasons for fighting and despite what he knows he should do to protect his health, he is driven by his love for his father to commit to one last fight. Sky knows she loves him but can she accept him fully?

This story has a bit more somber tone than some of Addison’s previous books but still bears her style of writing. It is a romantic story with just the right amount of heat, of humor and of family and friendship. Melissa Moran is the narrator and I liked her style. She is easy to listen to and does a good job of drawing the reader into the story line. I enjoyed the book and do not hesitate to recommend it and any of the others in her Seaside Summers Series.

Nights at Seaside: Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers by Addison Cole

Narrator Melissa Moran lends her artful story telling to this heartfelt story.

Sky Lacroux feels like she almost has it all, her very own tattoo shop in P-Town and is preparing for its grand opening. The only thing missing is love. She's happy for her Seaside friends who have found their "one", but she longs for that heart connection for herself.

Pro boxer Sawyer "Songbird" Bass has the heart and soul of a poet. Coping with his father's illness and dealing with a health threat of his own, he uses music and his own emotional songs to deal.

Sawyer plays his guitar at open mic night at a local bar and sees Sky in the audience. He's immediately captivated by the dark haired beauty who brings a book of poetry to the bar. Before the night is over he's so inspired by her he feels compelled to put his thoughts to paper and writes a song for her. But Sawyer doesn't approach Sky, assuming the guy who has his arm around the back of her chair is her boyfriend.

But fate won't be dismissed and Sawyer goes to get a tattoo, unknown to him that it's her shop. Sparks ignite and Sawyer is relieved to learn Sky is single. Each is everything the other one could ever hope for, until Sky learns Sawyer is a boxer.

She struggles with his chosen profession, trying to reconcile the sensitive, totally male poet and song writer with a man who's ok fighting.

As they grow closer they almost seamlessly become a couple. Sawyer fits in with her friends and family and Sky meets his boxing family and friends.

Sawyer needs to win one last big fight to help his parents meet their ever growing financial needs and things come to a heated head when a sparring match lands Sawyer in the hospital.

With love on the line these two lovers come to some startling revelations. New love, family and friends, coping with illness, and risking it all for love.

We get to visit old Seaside friends and meet new ones while falling for Sawyer and Sky. This couple is so engaging you'll want to listen to it in one or two sittings. Sweet, heartfelt and swoon worthy.

Nights at Seaside

If you do not have the time to read this book then it is a must listen. This is a beautiful story. Melissa Moran does a wonderful job narrating this book.

Sky Lacroux believes in letting the universe guide you and what is meant to be, will be. After seeing all of her Seaside friends fall in love and get married over the last few years, she wonders when the universe will step in and find her the perfect man.
Sky is a tattoo artist who is very whimsical, artsie and loves poetry. She carries her favorite book of poems with her everywhere.
Sawyer Bass is a professional boxer, who relieves his stress by writing poetry and songs.
When Sky hears Sawyer sing for the first time and he looks up and sees her across the room, there is a deep connection.
Both Sky and Sawyer love and live for their families. Sky has a big heart and doesn’t believe in fighting. She finds it hard to except that boxing is a sport. Sawyer has one more fight, the title fight and if he wins this fight he will be able to provide, in home care, for his father that is suffering from Parkinson's disease, but Sawyer has been warned by doctors that one more blow to the head and he could suffer debilitating brain damage. Can Sky accept this and stand by his side?
Addison Cole writes a beautiful story of two people that would do anything for their families. Sky has such a beautiful heart and Sawyer is more poetic than any man has a right to be. Oh my, does the most beautiful things come from his heart. “You’ve turned my world around, Sky”. “I want everything with you. I want to make all your dreams come true, and I still don’t even know what they are.”
Come on the journey with Sky and Sawyer, I promise you, you will not regret it.

Great listen

We met Sky in Pete and Jenna's story, she is a free spirit glad to be back on the Cape. While on a night out with the Seaside ladies she gets her first glimpse of Sawyer Bass. He is a boxer and poet, loyal to his family. When they meet there is an instant attraction. They are drawn together by their love of poetry and the strong family bonds. When she learns of his fathers illness she begins to understand his need to box, even though she doesn't like it. When this threatens to tear them apart they both realise they have some hard decisions to make. Loved the narration by Melissa Moran.

Beautiful

We've heard about Sky for a while now, due to her being Pete Lacroux little sister, and it is lovely to hear her story.

Having returned to Provincetown to help her family, Sky is now branching out on her own and opening her own Tattoo Parlour. Things are going according to plan with Blue helping her with the renovations. Now having been home and seen her friends and her older brother, find love and happiness, Sky realises that this is the one thing missing from her life. Unfortunately she has neither control over her heart or time to look. Things change, however, on a night out with friends.

Sawyer Bass is a guitar playing professional boxer. Sawyer is coming up for his last fight and he's hoping that this one will enable him to retire and give him enough winnings to help support his fathers deteriorating health. No matter how much they both feel the instant chemistry, Sky struggles with reconciling the boxing side of Sawyer, with the calm, poetic, caring side of him. As they become closer, they each have battles to overcome if they stand a chance for a happy ever after.

Yet again, a beautifully written story with some strong, emotional storylines. You can really feel for the characters in this book.

Nights at Seaside

This is the sixth book in Addison Cole's 'Seaside Summers' Series and it was definitely one of my favorites.

Sky Lacroux has reached the point in her life when she wants to fulfill her dreams and start her own business in the form of a tattoo shop. It is a sweet and unique addition to the already budding Provincetown. She is quirky, carefree with her own unique style and she fits right in with the other Seaside girls.

Sawyer Bass is your typical alpha male who is a professional boxer who has a softer hidden side that composes songs and has a way with words. He is brooding and handsome and is instantly taken with Sky when they lock eyes across a crowded bar. However, there is just one catch...she is against boxing.

Despite the battles Sawyer faces in the ring, he is attempting to conquer a battle within himself as he is forced to decide between retiring from boxing or fighting one last match in order to win funds to help his ill father. The even bigger secret is that he fails to tell Sky the real impact it could have.

Like all of Cole's books, the subject matters are relatable and real and written beautifully to perfection. You will instantly fall in love with Sawyer and his romantic poetic words, and you will revel in being reunited with your favorites from previous Seaside Summers books.

This book is a thoroughly enjoyable read and one that I can promise you will be unable to put down. It can be read as a standalone novel or as part of a new series, either way, you will become a fan.

I also listened to this as an audiobook, the narration was clear, emotive and didn't take anything away from the story at hand. It was the second audiobook I have had the chance to listen to, and I would recommend to anyone who has a busy lifestyle. I love how the narrator switches between the character and tone suits the emotions that the characters are feeling/ expressing. Well worth the read or listen.

Sweet and Emotional......

Another sweet and emotional audiobook by one of my favourite authors.

Sky is so sassy and independant and loves being a tattoo artist and when she realises her dream of opening her own tattoo parlour she realises there is only one thing missing from her life, love. Seeing her friends falling in love so deeply has her wanting some romance in her own life, then she meets Sawyer, the man she can't stop thinking about.

Sawyer has a lot going on in his life, his own health problems but also worrying about his fathers health and boxing and playing his guitar is his own way of escaping reality and burying his head in the sand to an extent, until he meets Sky the sassy tattoo parlour owner who he want to know more about.

Their love is so beautifully portrayed, it makes you realise that true love can sometimes help you through some of the most difficult times in your life.

Another brilliant audiobook by an amazing author.
