Publisher's Summary

There’s always a new threat.

A year after the Event, horrific memories of the vessels linger in Dean’s mind as he tries to find his way forward in his new life. But now the heroes of Earth face a new threat that endangers the fragile remnant of humanity.

Two rebel hybrids have escaped from their segregated encampment. Dean and his team pursue them across the galaxy, racing to catch them before they reach an unseen enemy. This new threat is looming over Earth, their name spoken softly and fearfully by anyone who knows of them.

When a line is drawn, on whose side will Dean stand?

Still a great story

I am enjoying the storyline. It’s still keeping my attention as I get more familiar with the main characters. Easy reading. Luke Daniels USA An amazing narrator and we ca feel the characters emotions through his voice. I love sci-fi and this story is taking far away in space and time. Love it. Reading book 3 now

Loving this series

Can't wait to start book 3 in a moment. A huge reveal came in this book, that I'm quite sure no one was coming. Almost has me worried about what we'll discover next. Let's find out.

Holds your interest with twists!

2nd book is as good as the first and Luke Daniels narrates it too! First, if a narrator is no good...you can't really enjoy listening to a book. Thankfully, Luke is a fantastic narrator and the characters come to life and it's like listening to theater! He sounds a lot like Nathan Dillon. Dean continues to be our hero and I'm not giving away spoilers. You should definitely read the books in order or the characters lose their relevance to the story. Its also clean. No cussing, no explicit sexual content either, just a good sci fi story that keeps getting better. It holds your interest with its plots and ..things you didn't see coming!

A good second installment

Wonderfully fleshes out our Heroes of Earth even more. And those twists, whoa. Yes, indeed.

Did not pull me in like the first!!

Not sure how to feel. Didn't get sucked in like the first book. Felt more like a long drawn out backstory for what's to come. I'll still read the next book, but hopefully it's better then this one. The ending leaves much to be desired and I feel like the main characters wouldn't have abandon the Earth and it's inhabitants so easily, but maybe they're is more to this story as well.

A fun young adult book, but I'm not a young adult

This story doesn't have anymore holes in it than most Hollywood Blockbusters, but I expect more from the books.

A good book

Wow but I really want to throttle Dean for being such a gullible itot. Things were bad when he left and things are worse now. It did not take long for dumbass politicians to regain a foothold and doom the planet. Overall I look forward to book 3.

Excellent story. I liked #1 better, but not bad story.

The ending was a non-ending! Books in a series,I think, should leave you in a place one could take a break if for one reason or another you want a break. I'm still finding it was a good story line. Onward to book #3. Kaye

I'm hooked

Two books in. Enjoying the series. Some issues, whether it's the narration or the writing or both, it as the sound, tone, and feel of a 50's scifi novel. The characters are naive and for the most part shallow. It feels like it is supposed to be character driven, but it is plot/story driven. Characters are two dimensional, with some exceptions. Characters seem to be of th cookie-cutter type, your standard reluctant hero, etc. With that being said, I've grown to care about our main characters and am looking forward to their next adventure.

Excellent continuation

I thought this book really "fleshed" out the storyline - I felt the characters got stronger and the action was really well paced, its certainly encouraged me to read more! Super
