Publisher's summary

Brand new from the top 10 best-selling author of New Beginnings at Seaside Blooms and Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow.

With new arrivals comes new responsibilities....

The sun is shining, wild flowers are blooming and Hedgehog Hollow is officially open for business.

For Samantha, the proud owner of this beautiful rescue centre, life has never been busier. But with an influx of new hogs and hoglets to take care of, not to mention a full-time job and ongoing family issues, can she accept the possibility that she has taken on more than she can handle?

Fortunately, she has the love of her life, Josh, by her side for support and encouragement. But Josh has his own family troubles to deal with. And soon he must decide if he's ready to do the one thing he swore he’d never do - forgive his father.

For both Samantha and Josh it's a season of change and for figuring out whether the past can ever truly be forgotten.

Cute

Such a nice continuation of the storyline. Great writing, great narration, and although there’s strife, it’s a cute story.

A Feel Good Book

I started off with the free (prime member) of her first Hedgehog Hollow book and enjoyed the story and the reader so much that I used my credit for the second one (this one). I love a positivity of the main character and how she sees the good in the bad and tends to deal with the punches with a good attitude. I looked and it appears there are three more in this series which I plan to listen to. They just make me feel good!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book

I appreciated the depth of the characters and like real life, people don’t change overnight. I also liked learning about hedgehogs. We don’t have them here in the US where I live.
I also thought the narrators did an excellent job.
I will be listening to the whole series for sure.

More Emotional Abuse

I downloaded this book just to see what happens if anything to Sam and her new man Josh whose a veterinarian. Poor Josh I think the author was watching reruns of the Jerry Springer Show while writing this book. If you thought the emotional abuse Sam was put through by her mom and then by her cousin Chloe was bad. Ms. Redland made Josh's romantic life a nightmare. That poor guy gets gas lit by Beth a woman he was seeing from work. Who by the way claimed she was seeing a married man before him. Even tells Josh about how long they were together and why she left him. She never tells Josh the other man's name. She just dates Josh on and off knowing full well who he is and who he is related to. They breakup for good when he learns who the married guy was. After that he wants nothing to do with them period.

Then it cuts to the present. Josh has a strained relationship with some of his family. He met Sam in the first book and they have a bumpy start but they come right. Sam has opened the hedge hog rescue and is stressed by still teaching and running the rescue center. Her friends, dad and Josh help out and it's going well for the most part. She is still having trouble with people trying to vandalize the rescue center. Her family is still being cruel especially her mom. Chloe still acts like the world revolves around her and she's not happy unless other people are miserable. She's not one to take any responsibility and acts like her problems are other people's fault. It's gets a bit weird like she's jealous of her son a bit. One more thing Sam's dad Jonathan maybe on his way to a new romance since his separation from Sam's mom.

Enjoying

Glad there are more Hedgehog Hollow stories. I will be listening to them all, even though I struggle with the narrator choice for the main character.
