excellent story line

I enjoyed every word. Full of adventure, suspense and mostly the high energy between Gabriel and Erin.

Quite enjoyable whodunnit. Ms. LaVoy has a tendency to over-emphasize her narration and Ms. Abrams can be a bit melodramatic with her prose. Still an pleasurable escape without a lot of brain drain. Looking forward to my next Abrams novel. This sister is gifted in so many areas!

Great Book

It’s been 10 + years since I’ve listened an audio book & this one is really good! I was surprised by the ending. The mystery & romance was well written/described.

Lots of drama & suspense

The protagonist seemed to have every possible trauma including a gruesome serial killer. Ultimately in discovering the ruthless villain she finds love- I guess. The tricks and turns had me guessing and wondering even after I finished the book.

Stacey Abrams is now one of my all time favorite authors!

The intrigue, mystery, and serial angst kept me glued to the pages. There wasn't ever a dull moment and she kept me guessing all the way through. Also, the narrator was wonderful.

I usually figure out these stories I kinda had the killer on my radar but wasn’t sure which makes a good story. Plus the romance was done beautifully not raunchy which is cringe worthy but beautiful.

Sophisticated Romance

I thought this was a interesting. It was my first romantic suspense. I think I’m mostly giving credit to Stacy Abrams because she’s a smart woman. Annalise and Aaron were the same person and that kind of threw me for a loop. I enjoyed it for a suspenseful romance.

Great story and performance!

The story and performance were great engaging me from the beginning through to the end. The storyline was realistic, drawing me in, eliciting a range of emotions, the characters came to life with complexity and carried me with journey of hope, healing, learning to trust and love consistent with one who had experienced trauma. Loved it.

not preditctable page turner

While this was a little difficult to follow in the beginning chapters, it was a page turner. Enjoyed the psychological thrill with a touch of romance.
