My God what an adorable and quirky story!! I didn’t put this down the moment I hit play even though I had to hit pause and bash my head into the nearest wall because I wanted to strangle Carmilla…but I relate to her and her guarded heart and especially a mother like hers.. I’m not easy to love as well and I related to her struggles…it was beautiful and sweet. VERY slow burn but it’s what makes it delicious 🖤 Read it!

Way better than expected!

After reading some of the reviews, I wasn’t expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I liked the story and the characters. I thought it well written. Yes, this scenario has been done before, but I found this one to be just different enough that I didn’t want to stop listening.
Lori Prince does a good job. I struggle with some of her voice characterizations, but it’s minimal and she does a good enough job overall that I was able to really enjoy listening.
I’m glad I didn’t pass this one up!

This story is very sweet with no spice just tension. Narrator is Lori Prince and she does a wonderful job.

Tenterhooks til the last 10min

I'm not sure if this is considered a slow burn book? I mean- it lights up like a California forest in the summer by the end... and when I say the END I mean the last 10min of the darn book. It was a heartbreaking depiction of love as an adult with responsibilities and baggage, so the instalove is lost to the pages and I admire that. It's a grueling push and pull, but again, the HEA is beautiful for the two MCs. Just wish on all the stars it was a wee longer than the last 10.
