India has it

India has so many mysterious and magical stories, so I think it's a great way to learn more about the culture. This book was written by someone who knows a lot about it. The narrator sounded professional. I don't have any complaints. I enjoyed it.

Excellent

I guess the first several pages were my favorite ones, because the whole idea that the subtitle refers to, is discussed. All the basics are here. Later on in the book, more depth gets included, and I think this is what makes it so great.

Appreciate it

I appreciate books like this. They have a wealth of information about the background, stories, and the beliefs of ancient cultures such as Indian culture, a country with over a billion people and a rich history. I've always marvelled at the mystery of India and the gods and goddesses they used to believe in, as well as the Hindu, Krishna, or Sikh beliefs that are present there now. This book is a nice book to listen to. It teaches you a lot about those cultures and beliefs, and goes into detail where you're wondering what strange, epic stories were told about heroes and heroines.

Interesting

Interesting to read more about the legends these Indians made up and believed in. Good stuff.

Hard listen

The information in this book is decent but it’s hard to listen to. The editing is really clunky and the narrator struggles to pronounce the words. I definitely understand the challenge with this but it’s actually hard to listen to.

Generally these stories are so rich and alive but this audio has no feeling. It’s completely sterile.

One hot mess!

Although there might be a significant understanding of Hindu beliefs buried somewhere in this endeavor, the hideously assemblage is further buried by the amateurish narration. In a composition of this type, one expects the speaker to have, at least, a basic notion of how to properly pronounce the major names and concepts. The mispronounciations and constant hesitations distract from the content. Skip this one.
