This book is better than the previous in the series. New story, but does a great job of building on the world as well as drawing together elements from the previous books in the series. Really enjoy the narrator for this series as well! Looking forward to the rest of the series.

This was another good story. It kept me involved in the plot waiting to read what would happen next. Another creepy read from Mr. Ripley. I will read more from this author.
Ron Ripley and Thom Bowers never disappoint. This is a great addition to the series! Chilling story, vivid characters and settings that are brought to life by the talented narration! I enjoyed every moment listening to this story!
This is a great series ! Each book just gets better . Love all these haunted shane has to save . It never gets boring.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series so far. The narrator, Thom Bowers, is a definite bonus to this series!!! I really hope he narrates ALL the books by Ron Ripley. I love the way he does the characters, and the way the books come to life when he narrates!!
Another great book from my favorite writer ! I may never sleep again lol can’t stop listening to each new chilling tale ! Narration is very good it brings the story to life with each turn of the page.i highly recommend listening
They go after Shane and Frank but miss. Kept me on the edge of my seat.
I highly recommend the entire series. The main characters come across as very real. They have baggage, they're believable, and it makes you cheer for them that much more. It's not always easy to get attached to a character in what boils down to a ghost story, but this series nails it on the head. I'm always left wanting more. Each story in the series builds off the last and takes you a great journey. Sometimes, as with life, the journey is painful. I highly recommend the series. Once you start into it, you won't want to put the series down. if you're anything like me, you'll be desperately watching for an announcement that the next book is being released. I hope to never hear the end of Shane Ryan!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely. However, I would recommend listening in order. There's plenty of scares and a hero to root for!
What did you like best about this story?
I think I just love Shane. He's got a tough, brave coat but he's as sweet as can be!
What does Thom Bowers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Imagery in the audio is different than reading the book. Not saying either is better. Just saying reading and hearing bring different responses. I like both.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I always cheer at the end when Shane is all wiped out but has taken the battle.
Would you listen to Slater Mill again? Why?
Yes. There was so much going on. It was exciting!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes. I worried for the characters. I wondered at what was going on. It was well-written as well.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the assassin came to kill Shane and Frank. Without giving anything away, I was all =O and then =X. It was really good.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
There is no rest after death.
