After a party when her parents are away, eighteen-year-old Kerry Dowling is found fully dressed at the bottom of the family pool. The immediate suspect is her boyfriend, who had a bitter argument with her at the party. Then there is a twenty-year-old neighbor who was angry because she didn’t invite him to the party. Or is there another suspect who has not yet been seen on the radar?

Kerry’s older sister Aline, a twenty-eight-year-old guidance counselor, is determined to assist the prosecutor’s office in learning the truth. She does not realize that now she is putting her own life in danger…

What did you love best about I've Got My Eyes on You?

It was easy to follow, but the story was addictive. The police investigation was quite realistic in its details and procedures.

What other book might you compare I've Got My Eyes on You to and why?

As Time Goes By is a good comparison. In both books, the characters are very realistic and easy to relate to. We get to really understand their feelings.

Have you listened to any of January LaVoy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first introduction to this narrator. We enjoyed her very much.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I always wanted to know what was happening next.

Any additional comments?

No.

I love Mary Higgins Clark she was my first "adult author" I'd switched to once I got a little too old for RL Stine Fear Street and Goosebumps books. I must note that early Mary Higgins Clark books are better. The earlier stuff is not as predictable and the stories are not so "forced." With this book I figured out the culprit and the why behind the murder, soon after "meeting" the entire cast of the book. Right off the bat it was obvious that the main person everyone was trying to pin the murder on was not the one who did it because of the fact there was too much effort put into trying to make this person look guilty. This book is an easy read. There are no twist and turns to stump you or confuse you it's just one straight path to an obvious ending.

It's........ok

I really hated this book. The writing was formulaic and lacked imagination, I guess that's redundant. The performance was stilted, and truthfully the whole thing was a little bit sticky and annoying. I don't see what people see in the author and I know she's very famous. Let's hope this particular book is an aberration, but I will not find out because I don't intend to read another one of her pieces. This turned me off that much.

perfect for a 12 year old.
