Publisher's summary

The love/hate relationship between Diane and Kendra Williams takes mother-daughter drama to entirely different level. Diane is a single mother who prides herself on being a master manipulator. She has no problem using anything or anyone to get what she wants. Whether it’s treating her sister, Celia, as her personal ATM or seducing unlikely, unsuspecting men, she will do whatever it takes to get ahead.

Her daughter, Kendra, is a hardworking student who does a better job parenting her younger twin sisters than their mom does. She is determined to be nothing like her mother, and instead, strives to follow in her Aunt Celia’s footsteps to get the car, house, and career of her dreams. After meeting Bilal, a handsome, streetwise entrepreneur, she may just land the man of her dreams as well.

When tragedy strikes one of the twins, instead of being there for her family, Diane sees it as one more opportunity to exploit for her own personal gain. And when a secret that both Diane and Kendra have been keeping comes out, the entire family is ripped apart. Will Kendra be able to hold on to everything that means the world to her, or will her mama’s drama snatch it all away?

I'm ready for the second part on audible!!!

That momma was something else. She was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! And unfortunately I know a couple people that remind me of Diane's wicked, self-centered, attention seeking behind! The book was good, and I can't wait until part 2 comes out on Audible. There were too many pauses from the narrator's, but other than that I really enjoyed My Mommas Drama. Okay LaJill Hunt, hurry up with the second book so I can see what more shenanigans this trifling heffa has up her sleeve. And I hope Cecelia finds happiness with Detective Shawn.

DRAMA with a capital D!

I have always been a La Jill Hunt fan for years and this book did not disappoint! A woman like Diane does not need kids!!! The book was very relatable! I was mad when it was over! I hope there will be a part 2! La Jill did her thing as usual!!!! Keep it coming girl!

Goods these errors!

This book had a great story line, enough drama to keep you entertained. Hell I found myself confuse on a lot of parts at one point her mother was 14 when she had her then she was 16 then she want her sister to give her some money to abort a baby at 17 cause she didn’t want to be a parent. The oldest daughter was 23 then 19. Her daddy was a asshole for not helping her get money for school at the beginning, then he was a saint all of her life and gave his all. Then she gets kicked out. Tells her friend while she waiting at her job her moms kicks her out and she was staying with Bilal, but then her moms put her stuff out and then (in different breath but same book)Bilal told her, she can move in with him. He needed to straighten up before she came in to see the place for the first time. At this point I can’t keep up with what’s going on 😫😫.

Loved this book!!

I don't know how I ended up purchasing this title. Perhaps it was a daily deal. Just because of the book title, it's not something I would ever buy. It sounds like a comedy. It's not.

This is an excellent piece of literature about a young girl and her two younger sisters, and how they deal with their alcoholic, drug addict mother. The young girl reaches out to her aunt for support, but the story itself is gut wrenching.

This book reminded me of 'The Hate U Give.' It shouldn't be overlooked by the title. What an incredible story. I laughed, I cried, and I didn't want it to end. So glad I listened.

Confused!

This book takes you along on a great drama journey that leads you ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE! It just stops! The storyline, at the very least could have told us if Celia agrees with terms or instead said...Go F* yourself.

Good to the end the...

Book was interesting until the end when it just abruptly ended. Didn’t like that. Had thought I would recommend to my book club but decided not too.

Omg loved this book

I truly enjoyed listening to this book. The narration from beginning to end was on point. I can honestly say that It wasn’t dull; not by a long shot. I would highly recommend anyone to listen to this book because you won’t regret it. One of the things I loved the most about it was the turnaround for Avery’s character. I thought for sure that she wouldn’t make it so I’m content with her recovery and ending. TBH It’s sad the way that Dianne treated her daughters but it is very common behavior with a lot of women in today’s society. I hope that there’ll be a part 2 because I hate the cliff hanger for the book. I want to know how Celia will take the news. Please don’t leave us hanging like this. We need a part 2!

Almost a great book

This book had a great storyline. The narrators were great. I was hooked and I was begging for more! But then everything wrapped up so quick at the end that I’m still not clear on what happened.

Umm ...

What can I say about the book? It is a good read and will have you shaking your head throughout. Her mother is so scandalous that it becomes funny. Must read.

Really good story line. Some things were a little

I really liked this book. Some things were a little on believable like for instance how every man the characters ran into was fine. However the story line itself was pretty interesting. The narrators did a great job especially the Male character.
