Oh my heart!!

Good Lord, this is the perfect example of a good girl falling for the bad boy. It may be cliche but they're cliches for a reason. They are built in truths. Mia isn't just any good girl, oh no, she's one that's stricken with guilt and overrunning with grief. No bad boy would be complete without his own demons and Derek definitely has those covered. Sometimes all it takes is for another person to see you, to really see you, for the healing and forgiveness to really begin.

I have a serious thing for Ed Sheeran and all the references and quotes just added to my heart palpitations! Derek definitely has some similarities of how my dreams see Mr. Sheeran as a man in love. I really, like really wish we had some of Derek's POV. I think this book would have been perfection with it.

This is definitely an emotional wringer and the narrator, Sarah Puckett, upped the ante on the emotional scale!! Shes able to pull out all the stops portraying the feelings of grief, hope, hurt, and even some humor tossed in. There was so much added with just her tone and inflections that it FEELS so much!!

This book was absolute perfection! I didn't realize it, but I listened to this one before book 1, obviously not paying attention. I caught up pretty quickly, but you definitely want to listen or read book 1 first. This story is an emotional one. Derek and Mia's connection was evident from the first time they met and seeing them discover how deep their connection really went, especially Mia was heartwarming.

LJ Evans did a great job of bring these characters to life for me. I felt like I was there experiencing every emotion with them. Her characters are also very relatable. She did such a great job telling the story that it left me wanting more!

Sarah Puckett did an awesome job narrating. I'm fairly new to audiobooks, but I feel as though she did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life and hit every emotion perfectly.

Great Sequel!

LJ Evans hit this one out of the park! Her use of popular song titles to introduce the chapters is absolutely genius! I fell in love with the characters is My life as a Country Album and even more in this book! Sarah Puckett does an outstanding job narrating this book! She is one of my favorites and doesn’t fail in this one!

I really enjoyed this story. I read the first in the series and loved it and this one did not disappoint! I love love Sarah's narration, she makes every story that much better!

This is my first book by this author and although I haven’t read or listened to book 1 that took nothing away from the enjoyment of this book, it can truly be read as a stand-alone. This is Derek and Mia’s story and boy do they have a journey for you, so hop on and enjoy the ride.....
In this book we get to follow the emotional ride of young love for Mia and Derek we get to see their relationship develop, we follow this couple on a ride of self discovery as well as finding true love. This is an emotional book that at times is full of pain, guilt and suffering and I have to say my heart broke for Mia but this book was worth every gasp every sigh and every tear because the other side of this story was the humour, the giggles and me smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I loved Derek he is hot, he is kind and he is prepared to do what ever is needed for the woman he loves , for me this book ticked all my boxes and I urge you to one click this great book. Sarah Puckett did a great job with the narration, she got all the emotions as well as the humour and for me she certainly made this an enjoyable listen.

Real, sweet, sexy story. Beautiful narration!

I read this months after reading "My Life as a Country Album," and diving back into this world (where Jake and Cam still "were") was comforting and felt like home. Mia is stuggling with some inner demons but has an opportunity to go on an adventure. Enter Derek, a sweet, genuine, sexy, up-and-coming rockstar. The relationship that develops between Mia and Derek is real, believable and infused with just the right amount of heat and slow-burn that you know is going to come to an explosive peak! The characters and their struggles were very relatable. Mia and Derek work so well together and compliment each other so well. They both have their own struggles to overcome and I really enjoyed seeing them navigate life and their relationship, finding a way to make it work.

The audio is quite beautifully narrated by Sarah Puckett. She's become one of my favorite female narrators and was the perfect choice for this story.

A slow burn that sets you on fire

I loved this audiobook, for so many reasons. The narrator did a phenomenal job, her male voices are so on point that i forgot I was listening to only one person. The story was unique, sweet and not predictable. The characters didn't fall into any of the expected mistakes that people fall into in new relationships and I found that very refreshing. The story of Mia's self discovery, learning to trust herself and forgive herself was extremely relatable as was her love of literature, and nerd culture. I am a sucker for a rock star romance, but Derek was not your typical rock star and that made me love him all the more. I listened to this story as a stand alone, but I will be going back to listen to book 1, because I want to know more. I hope the band members get their own books, because I want to know what happens next in their lives and adventures.

Loved it!

This is the second book in the My Life as an Album Series. This story can be listened as a standalone, but you don't want to miss the first book! I love the introduction of the chapters with sentences from Ed Sheeran's love songs (I love Ed Sheeran, so I think this is the best idea ever!)! Mia and Derek's story is sweet, and beautifully written. They share beautiful and instant attraction. The storyline is filled with angst and guilt. I love the ending. Mia is Jake's sister, and Cammy's friend, characters from the book 1 in this Series. I loved to see how things work for Jack and Cammy. Sarah Puckett did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed my listening. #AudiobookObsession

Good second story

My life as a pop album was an ok book. I think I was expecting more since I had read the first book and I was excited to listen to this one. The book didn’t have the emotional feels that the original one did. It wasn’t terrible but as a second in the series it did have something to follow and that was too bad. It still maintained all the emotions of the first book.
