Joel Marcus, a young, successful Manhattan DA, stuck in a loveless marriage, is with his beautiful DA girlfriend when he rescues an elderly Haitian woman from muggers. She rewards him with a voodoo ceremony. Now when he dies, his spirit will survive and pass into the one nearest him.

When he is, in fact, soon murdered, his spirit does pass into the one nearest him: the Black hitman who murdered him. While trying to convince loved ones he's still alive, he's being sought by the police as the prime suspect in his own murder. At the same time, he's in a unique position to learn who the real murderer is—the one who paid for the hit.

He's also in a unique position to learn, as a White man, what it's like to be a Black man in today's America.

Not bad!💕

I thought the overall storyline was pretty good and definitely intriguing. For me, the beginning was a little slow but it did pick up.
The narration was not good for me. The voice was fantastic but the actual narration was very choppy, like reading a few words at a time rather than the whole sentence. There was a few moments when I couldn’t figure out which character was talking. Overall this story wasn’t bad.
This is a standalone.

Great murder mystery with a twist

This was a fun stroll down a very strange road. I would suggest everyone will enjoy this audio book!!

Great story and great narrator

This book had an interesting plot with a supernatural voodoo aspect. Lots of twists added in with different relationships. I also enjoyed the narrator. He has a good voice for this book as the main character was a man.

Wow this story was so good.
What an intriguing story.
Very unique. I was biting my nails to see if Joel found his true killers and brought them to Justice while on the run from the law since he is in his murderers body.
Yep he’s in the body of a hit man.
This is a new to me author and narrator and I loved the story and the narration and how the story came to life

Unique Supernatural Crime Mystery

My Killer was definitely quite unique but very well written. It may start off slow, but when it picks up, wow, it packs a punch. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.
